Aifo SOTC (Aviators) - Sept 8 2014

Post by Aifo »

A long over due update, here’s my contribution to this new forum corner. My group of aviation themed watches, arguably my favorite style!

Image

From left to right:

Glycine airman base 22 blue, Tissot Natvigator, Hanhart Pioneer single pusher chrono, C8 regulator, Bell&Ross officer chrono, Glycine airman vintage LE.

Well i should also include my GO natvigator but I have it tucked away in my treasure box not easily accessible so it will go to my next group. My love towards aviation style springed from my first sighting of the IWC mark xv, bit on the small size for the adult me now but it was the watch got me hooked. Ironically, despite my love towards the style, I never dreamt of being a pilot.

So heres my little group, hope you like them too. I will probably do my Seiko group next. Till then!

A top quality collection there Aifo. My favourite is probably the blue Glycine Airman, but they are all excellent.

Would own them all myselve except maybe the tissot. Have thought about the hanhart monopusher many times, as good as any Steve Mcqueen watch.

So where's the rest of the collection Aifo? How's it changed since we last saw it?
I miss all the great things that may never be.

Thanks all! Seems like Hanhart wins the group.

To Jeff: It is 40mm ;)

To DM: the next group will come soon, think you will enjoy it as it is probably going to be my Seikos. As to my the status of my collection, too many ins and not many out

I have to add that I am really enjoying the C8 a lot! Haven't left my wrist since it arrived last week.

That just means more impressive watches for us to ooh and ahh over!

As for your aviator set, what sets it apart from many others is that there are no generic fliegers or standard designs there. They are all a little different!

That is true Asqwerth, but my GO netvigator has covered the generic flieger slot in a way, and you have no idea how many times I was ready to pull trigger on a type B B-UHR, somehow that just never happened.
