Anyone know if there are any plans for an automatic C1, possibly an LE? I love the C1GBTR but have not purchased one as I would prefer a mechanical version.

So many watches, so little time (and money!!!).

We can only hope that the C2 might be what you and I are looking for. I too love the C1 Russell but am holding out for an automatic version.

Well maybe Han's could lobby Chris for a Forum LE 2

All joking aside though last I heard was that Chris was testing and having problems with shrinkage of the dial but that was months ago and I have not heard a thing about it since. Maybe Han's could find out more.

Well I presume he did. He sent me the following on the 1st of July 2007

regards Chris
I never pushed it after that though. I reckoned if he had any news he would tell us in his own good time. I guess though that it was put on the back burner and forgotten about. I still think it could have been a winner if done properly though.

Interesting. It would be nice if it did get produced, I've never seen a watch like it before and I think it would really put CWL on the map.

No Daz. It only came about because I could work with paint programs just a little bit. That meant that when we all talked about what we would like to see then I at least could create mock images of my own ideas which helped stimulate the idea even further. It was as simple as that really.

I still love the look of that burlwood. Thanks for another look Terminator. If CW ever makes it in an auto like that, he has another instant sale.

october 2007:
- women's divine collection (round and square)

early 2008:
- LE's of the c3 and c5
- adaptations of the IPK ranges
- introduction of the c8, the 44mm big pilot

autumn 2008:
- introduction of the c2: a stylish classic (mechanical)
- introduction of the c7: more gti/sports (possibly automatic chrono!!)
- introduction of the c9: tonneau/tank
- W2 women's version of the version of c2
- W6 Ladies diver based on Kingfisher
- extension of the divine collection (Tonneau)
So far so good, we have the extended ladies collection, we've seen designs for the c2 and c8, and the c15 - which is I presume what was originally mooted as the C9.
What I would like to see is any news in the C7 (as I guess a few of us would), and the W6, as my wife needs a new watch!

So keep an eye on the "Sneak Previews" forum, lot's of sneak-preview pictures to be expected in the future!!!
It would appear that CW is slightly behind these very ambitious plans for 2008. Not that I think that is a bad thing. I would much rather have quality than quantity. I am very pleased with what I see coming but I have a couple of questions.....

The C2 says mechanical... Do we really know yet?
How did the C9 become the C15? (did it ,or is this another watch?)
Just curious... How does Chris pick his model numbers, any formula?
Anyone heard anything about the C7 (Hans/Joe)?

Maybe this should be in another thread, but I don't know how to move the quote. Sorry.

Hmm this one interests me too, the C2 is nice but I'm not convinced it's what I'm after at the moment.
I would like to see what the C7 (or whatever number it ends up with!!!) is planned to look like, whether it's
auto/quartz, chronograph/non chronograph etc. before I start looking seriously at other watches.

I'm eagerly awaiting the C8. I've wanted a pilot watch for awhile and the proposed designs for the C8 are great.
