Ivor wrote:The Stowa Marine would be my first choice - it reminds me of the Dornblüth 99.0 that I'll never be able to afford. In fact, if I'm feeling a bit flush next year, and as long as Chris's new designs don't catch my eye before then, I may treat myself to a Stowa. I love their simplicity. I don't like the studs on the Airman strap though, they make it look very cheap, IMO.
I'm with you, Ivor. I think the Marine is lovely. I am not a great fan of the studs on the strap of the Aviator either but they come without as well! .
Hi,
sorry for my ignorance, but are there automatic watches for ladies yet? And to come?
My wife would like one, but not to big (30mm max).
Thanks for the info.
Regards, Frank.
That doesn't seem highly likely. Women are, in general, not as attracted to the mechanical properties of a watch as men are, so that would be a niche market. Show a crowd of women a mechanical watch that they have to wind each time they pick it up and a quartz watch that doesn't have to be set or wound and that is more affordable, and the multitude will go for quartz.
I would also think that small automatic movements are more expensive to make.

Having recently seen a Peregrine, I was amazed how much better they looked compared to the website - so if anything like a mechanical Peregrine is produced, I will definitely buy one.

If it would be based on the VJ7750, I would not.
But it turns out that VJ7750 movement availability is very low... to the point where some manufacturers buy secondhand watches, to refurbish the movements and keep production up. So, chances of a VJ7750-based CW are low.
I think Chris is already looking at other options.
