In an e-mail from Chris today...."PS… on the big pilot…I’m thinking of releasing early so that the forum and the like can reserve early and get decent serial numbers and all that…(don’t worry your number is still safe!)"

Frankly I'm tempted never to leave my keyboard in readiness. Aside from my 2nd kid in July, no other new arrival matters more this year.
Cheers for the update Hans!

It is simply too big for my wrist.
And I still want one !
C5 Aviator on order, so I can't possibly justify one.
It wouldn't work !
Aaaargh !
(That strap is lovely)

I'm torn between AWT and AKT. I tend towards black faces generally but that cream is so damn nice I find myself preferring it with every other look at the pics.
I reckon it'll just depend on what look I spot the 'for sale' signs have gone up.

Too big for my taste, but I say that with genuine regret . It looks a smashing example of its type and I can see why you're all so excited by it. Go for it...
Re: C8 Update - 04/19/08
I've only got 7" wrists and know that several 45mm+ watches just wouldn't suit no matter how much I like them. Kinda makes me wish I'd have misspent my youth more to build up my puny forearm!

Seriously cool looking watch! I can't wait to get one on my puny little wrist. As well as my treasured Peregrine chronograph I own an Invicta Lefty XL which is also quartz (& a truly huge chunk of watch!), so the chance to get a large automatic with a skeleton back will be well worth the wait!

Welcome to the "Asylum". You might as well tells us how puny your wrist is so we can put you in the right room.Haidaphile wrote: Seriously cool looking watch! The longer it takes the more I'm leaning towards getting a Steinhart B-Uhr as well / instead.
Gotta admit though, the Anglicised pilot appeals most.
