Damn damn damn.. I do like these, and a nice variation on the other models, will have to be add this to the wish list along with the C700. Well done to Chris for adding some different styles to the range..

Re: C11 Altus
The automatic is OK but would not buy one without the minute markers, what a waste of the excellent slim white tipped second hand with no markers to line up with.
No more Quartz (except when I cannot resist).
Re: C11 Altus
Interesting but not for me.
What's the red mark at 3 o'clock for?

I didn't notice this before but the C11 auto reminds me a lot of one of my favorite watches, Glycine Incursore:

Re: C11 Altus
Glycine do make an Altus chronograph, thank God the CW doesn't look like it.
In fact Glycine is owned by Altus watch AG - just thought I'd say that for no obvious reason.
I do think it might look better with minute markers. The crown reminds me of the Oris BC4

Re: C11 Altus
Not bad, but three comments:
1. Minute marker 'outer track' on both models.
2. Loose the 'icons' on the chrono sub-dials.
3. minute markers on the chrono sub-dials.

Re: C11 Altus
Not doing it for me I'm afraid. Hands look too fat for the face and not a fan of screws as decoration, kind of appears that the case shape is there just to put the screws in to give that "instrument" look.
However as with most things, may look better in the flesh

Gosh - I didn't expect this one. Interesting, and all credit for that. You'll certainly know what time it is.

Re: C11 Altus
Very interesting indeed. I have been looking forward to this one and I am not quite sure what to make of it. I would personally only go for the Auto but agree with others that the dial would benefit from having the minute markers the Chrono has - this would balance the dial more. I think I like it but would be keen to see some flesh shots before committing some hard cash! On the cash side, Kip says we will like the price - I would hazard a guess at £300-£350 (for both models). I bet a PVD version (on brown strap) would look cracking

Strange that Glycene would let their trade mark lapse when they still have a current model by this name. (info from UK IPO, can't find it on WIPO)Royston 64 wrote:Glycine do make an Altus chronograph, thank God the CW doesn't look like it.

Re: C11 Altus
The lack of detail on the face of the automatic (eg. no minute markers) make it look more like a fashion watch than a serious instrument. Would have preferred a more serious instrument panel look of the face and hands with a bit of CWL design flair, something Damasko for example does very well, extending the more conservative Sinn look.

Well it's different for CW but a bit derivative, which isn't new for CW.
I wonder how it would look with a PVD case and the C8 vintage paint job. Most likely a lot more appealing in my mind.
Plus does CW really need yet another quartz chrono? If so those fashion chronos must be flying off the shelves
However at the end of the day it won't be joining my collection
