Yeah is there a reason for this? Anyone?Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:Interesting to see only the 'roundel' version is available.

Re: C1000 Typhoon
This was the one CW watch I've been anticipating, and I'm still tempted!
I don't really like buckles on straps so I wonder f it will be available with PVD Bader style deployant and a black strap?
Failing that, I'm thinking it would look quite good on one of those deployants and the brown leather on pre order at the moment?
I will email Wera I think to ask about options, will report back!

Ideal number of watches in your collection = current number of watches + 1...
Re: C1000 Typhoon
According to the website blurb, the watch is supplied with a bader deployant...
The CW website wrote:The trademark Christopher Ward deep-etched engraving on the reverse captures the plan of the Typhoon perfectly and the ensemble is finished superbly with a quality leather strap and Bader depolyment.

That's on the leather strap but the nylon strap is pictured with a traditional pvd buckle.

It was that that was confusing me! I hadn't read the blurb all that closely I'll be honest!

If you look closely at the watch photo you can see that it is fitted with the Bader Buckle.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:That's on the leather strap but the nylon strap is pictured with a traditional pvd buckle.

I guess you're correct Kip if looking at this photo;-Kip wrote:If you look closely at the watch photo you can see that it is fitted with the Bader Buckle.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:That's on the leather strap but the nylon strap is pictured with a traditional pvd buckle.

. . .but then on the other hand, theses two photos reasonably clearly, IMHO, show a regular buckle (similar to the one used on the C11);-

Re: C1000 Typhoon
A guy over on TZ UK has just posted this on a C1000 thread...
CW generally well received, though not much love for the quartz motorsport series, albeit popular on here.
Interesting comments, and I hadn't really noticed what he was referring to.That watch is a real shame, it was so close, I was enjoying looking at it until I spotted something, the Typhoon aircraft shape on the chrono hand is the wrong shape/not a Typhoon - the foreplanes are missing (unless thats meant to be them further up the hand? which would be silly).
Im a Typhoon engineer in the RAF and that chrono hand would bug me!

Re: C1000 Typhoon
Well, he has completely missed the point in that the foreplanes are further up the hand. I doubt that CWL would make a fundamental design error on this part.Tooks wrote:A guy over on TZ UK has just posted this on a C1000 thread...

OK; so that's one RAF Engineer that won't be buying a C1000. Plenty of other fish in the sea.

Re: C1000 Typhoon
They clearly know what the plane looks like, after all there's a big rendition of it on the back of the watch!

Re: C1000 Typhoon
Let's have a quick look at the real thing;-
and compare it to the C1000;-
OK, the cockpit area of the fuselage is a bit extended on the C1000 but it seems like CWL got it reasonably correct IMHO.

The relief on the engraving is really quite outstanding.
