Re: Coronavirus

Whole family self isolating here in the U.K. double jabbed and boosted, with booster being just before Christmas. Our symptoms are not terrible, but it’s still not fun. The kids seem pretty mild but my wife and I (39 and 40 yo) feeling pretty rubbish, certainly not asymptotic! I had got quite relaxe...

Re: Recommendations for replacement strap for C65 classic mk1 bader style

Thanks for all the replies. Looks I have to relax my specs or perhaps go custom?

I will report back any progress I make

Recommendations for replacement strap for C65 classic mk1 bader style

Hi all, I am smitten with my acquisition; a C65 classic mk1. It has the black guilloche wave dial and is paired with a black alligator pattern leather strap on the original bader deployant clasp. The strap is a fantastic match for the watch in terms of size, colour, matt finish, curved ends and blac...

Re: Will CW get to a point...........

If a watch is going to have a display back, it should be decorated. IMHO. CW could decorate or tweak the ETA/Sellita movement and call it their own caliber. I would hate if CW did this. What attracts me back time after time is the honesty with which CW put out with their watches. The honesty about ...

According to the all-seeing, all-knowing CW Archive…
I looked on the archive before posting too 😳

CW C65 trident rose gold??

Curious about an eBay listing for a C65 classic in a rather gaudy rose gold. Did CW ever offer this or is this a DIY job? Can’t say I’m a fan if I’m honest https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Used-Christopher-Ward-C65-Trident-Classic-Rose-Gold-/284575195331?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m2548.l62...

C65 vintage 38mm no more?

After following the C63 development and the prediction of the end of life for the c65 vintage in 38mm, I see that the only watches left on the CW website with that case is the sandhurst and cranwell. Does this mean the end is nigh for this model? It makes sense I suppose and the model has been aroun...

Re: Have we reached peak trident?

What I’m hearing, perhaps apart from screw links, is preferential aesthetic changes rather than spec upgrades. I feel that the only part of the C60 which can be meaningfully improved is the movement. I say this with positivity and praise for the C60 rather than criticism. It’s so good in my eyes tha...

Have we reached peak trident?

Watching the stalwart Trident C60 Pro grow from the toolish mk1, with aluminium bezel and 300m WR, the mk2 with improved bezel, case back and quick adjust bracelet, then the revolutionary mk3 with updated case, dial, hands and bracelet and offering 3 sizes and bi-directional on the GMT, it has me wo...

Re: Are CW Too Affordable?

There are 2 questions here: 1. Are CW too affordable 2. Are CW priced too low My answer to question1 is no, the brand still trades on affordability, I’ve tried others such as Longines, Certina, Squale etc etc (similar priced watches) and CW are certainly a step up. Affordability is subjective. But m...

Re: Quick release bracelet woes.

If CW eventually stop supporting these QR bracelets I think I’ll just replace with a regular spring bar. From what I can see these should be compatible.

Re: Quick release bracelet woes.

I’ve had the little pin drop out of a mk3 c60 and also had one bend and almost snap off on a 22mm c65 bracelet. Both times I reached out to CW CS and they’ve sorted very promptly

40mm C60 GMT discontinued?

According to the archive, the 40mm C60 GMT is still in production, but it’s not on the CW website and also I’ve seen some eBay sellers state it’s discontinued. Anyone got any insight into this? Tried searching but couldn’t find any posts on this in the forum Do I have to go for the 42mm now? I’ve tr...

Re: Red Bezels - bit flashy or a tasteful pop of colour?

I’ve only ever had a comment about a red bezel watch, they said it looked expensive! Red bezels are definitely not too flashy, now a red dial watch that exactly matches your Ferrari… Red bezel with a black dial just works too, a bit like black dials and brown leather straps, the look just works! I w...
