New Longines x Hodinkee Zulu Time Limited Edition
What do you think of the new collaboration between Longines and Hodinkee with the 500 piece limited edition Zulu Time? My first thoughts are nice looking watch, but a lot of money at $3,800 USD. It looks like they are competing with the Tudor Black Bay Pro (but thinner) and the Rolex Explorer II. Th...

Re: Day/date watch poll
I like nearly everything that Sinn produces and my only day/date watch is their 104, which I’m wearing today. Nevertheless, this implementation is not for me; if they’d put the day radially at 12 then I probably would’ve bought it by now. However, I really like the bezel layout which would be brill...

Re: C63 Celest
I’d love to see a description of this hypothetical “real man”. It might help to dispel a few ridiculous images I have running through my head. In response to your wanting to see a description of the hypothetical real man, I was ready to post a couple of pictures that at my senior age I though...

Re: C63 Celest
My first thoughts when I saw this was, what's not to like.
unique dial - nice
no date - clean
nice selection of bracelets or straps to dress it up or down
then....
36mm - My brain and 7 1/2 wrist can't do it!!!
38mm would work, 39mm would be perfect, 40-41mm would even work, but 36mm ughh.

Re: New moon phase watch
Surely there’s no point having a moonphase watch if it doesn’t remind me when the dog is going to start behaving weird in the middle of the night?? :problem: As a retired police officer I could have used a moonphase when I was working to remind me when it was a full moon and all the crazies came ou...

Re: New moon phase watch
According to the moon phase chart there is a full hunter's moon on October 28th at 1:24pm. If I were to buy this watch I could see myself sitting there with my iPhone at 1:23 and 45 seconds concentrating on pushing the crown in at exactly 1:24pm to make sure the moon phase is accurate. Then rushing ...

Re: RedBar Global event - pics and waffle
Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions about Farer Lindsey. I look forward to reading your reports on the other brands tomorrow.

Re: RedBar Global event; CWs on show
What a nice offer Lindsey. I've been considering a Farer for a long time, but similar to CW cannot see one in the flesh unless I order one online. Any comparisons you can do between Farer and CW watches would be greatly appreciated. I am particularly interested in the burgundy dial on the Farer Disc...

Re: Are regional nicknames offensive now?
There are some great replies so far. When debating this young man I was not intending to offend him by calling him Jock. Had I known it was offensive to him I would not have used the term in the first place. My reaction to his being offended was initially bewilderment as I had no idea the term was o...

Re: Are regional nicknames offensive now?
I posted it in the "off topic" portion of the forum for that very reason, where a lot of non watch related discussions take place.

Are regional nicknames offensive now?
I recently got into a debate with a man in his 20's on Facebook who was a relative of a friend of mine and was from Scotland. He got most offended when I referred to him by the nickname "Jock" which I thought was a term of endearment for someone from Scotland. He called me racist and all k...

Re: Inner steel ring pro 300 /atoll am I just to fussy misaligned again!
I just took a look at one of my CW's this morning and noticed the 12 O'Clock triangle is no longer aligned at 12, but is now between the 10 and 11 O'Clock markers. It also appears the date is slightly off as it says the 24th, when it is actually the 9th. I'm wondering if I should contact customer se...

Re: Inner steel ring pro 300 /atoll am I just to fussy misaligned again!
To my eye, the inner steel ring appears to line up perfectly with the 30 on the bezel. If that is the case, wouldn't it be the dial itself that is slightly misaligned to the steel ring/case, and not the steel ring that's misaligned?
