Re: Poor Service Provided by Christopher Ward
Cost of 'generic repair' £115! Now I love this watch, it is my go-to for holidays, seems indestructible, water-proof, etc. But, it cost me around £180. High street watch repairers say they can replace movement for £75. Is there any reason I should go with a repair from CW? On a watch of that value....

Re: When will I get my watch?
The current despatch time can be quite long. In the case of my C65 B&G we are at 8 business days without a despatch notification. I have selectively quoted this, but I don't think they are in a period of exceptional demand at the moment. It's quite possible that in light of a few recent problem...

What..."wide boy"...was used a lot when I was younger, perhaps has left the popular vernacular.thumperstain wrote: ↑Thu Nov 14, 2019 10:11 pmThank you for teaching me a new insult. Seriously. Never heard that one before. Now to find someone to use it on!

Re: For sale section is really limited
I suppose it's to prevent wide boys and scammers filling the for sale section. I'd be very nervous about buying from a member who has not "participated" a great deal on the forum. Lots of people about who know nothing about automatic movement watches or how to treat them properly. Nothing ...

Re: C65 Trident Diver SH21 LE
My C65 arrived back home today. Andrew Henry appears to have done a sterling job. Interestingly the winding was always super stiff from new but now feels as I would expect a watch with this sort of twin power reserve taking about 50 turns to feel...much more pleasant to wind...even zen like rather t...

Hopefully mine will be back in a few days...the photos remind me again of how nice the watch looks.

Re: C65 Trident Diver SH21 LE
Guy, That's excellent news and confirms what I guessed was happening. These capabilities always take time to develop, especially if they are to be done well and as far as I am aware, there isn't a glut of skilled watchmakers available in the UK. We need more people to buy fully mechanical timepieces...

Re: C65 Trident Diver SH21 LE
I guess the reassuring thing is that a capability obviously exists for some repairs on the SH21 to be performed in the UK, hopefully that capability will be expanded, removing the need to send watches to Switzerland.

Re: C65 Trident Diver SH21 LE
I hope this gets sorted. It’s a beautiful watch, definitely a higher end CW piece so I hope it gets resolved swiftly It's been fixed already, defective click spring in the winding system damaged a couple of gears. All fixed and after a few more days checking should be on it's way back to me. Hopefu...

Well when you consider that most folk don't reviews post when everything goes well and how many watches they sell per year....on balance you will probably be fine.Devarika Woulf wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 4:28 pm I'm buying a new CW soon - The negative reviews can't scare me! ........Right?

Re: NEW - Trust Pilot review
I looked at trust pilot, lots of good reviews as well and they outnumber the bad. I can only think CW must be selling an awful lot of watches for some areas of customer service to fall short of "realistic" expectations. Sure I have an issue now, possibly down to an assembly problem, but on...

Re: Crown wobble on 2nd position - normal?
That's a fair bit of movement, more than would be usual. Certainly at a routine service it would be taken care of and as long as the 1, 2nd and 3rd positions work fine without any jiggling to get things to work right, it will probably be fine until the scheduled service. Position 1 does it manually ...
