Re: Are CW just cleverer than we think?

^^^ yes. Also, there are things like Nearly New. They may be new, newish, etc...but I don't know if I could have convinced myself to take the plunge on a C8 Power Reserve at full price for "new." They had it in the "sale" under nearly new, which brought it in budget for me. So, C...

Re: Are CW just cleverer than we think?

There is probably some truth to the OPs assessment. What I also think is important to note is that the sales are not on the same things all the time. By reading some posts you'd think there's a massive sale on all products at all times. CW may have sales and vouchers regularly staggered throughout t...

Re: JLC Introduce The New Polaris Icon/collection

The simple ones with no complications look like fakes of Jaeger Lecoultre to me. Iwc recently released a new 7/8 day big date big crown thing and that also looks like a fake. Like these watches are being made cheaper or something or at least they look like it? Less effort made to create a high qual...

If one can't get the GS, IMO the best looking one in the bunch is the Tag...just saying... :)

Don't worry old chap, the humour wasn't lost at all. I'm British, after all, so it's quite likely that I understand humorous subtleties better than you. And in case you didn't realise that the above was meant entirely tongue in cheek, I can, if you wish, conclude all future replies to posts contain...

Re: Logo

A longitudinally-symmetrical structure is not critical for a powerful craft to fly in space or air, as long as the pilot has the available range of control mechanisms (pitch, roll and yaw)) and engine power (thrust) to make significant enough adjustments (trim). Re: Grand Seiko Snowflake. A week on the Wrist.

Good read and overview of the technology. I'm generally not a Seiko fan, but this particular GS is hard to not like. If I were to ever buy one, this would be it.

You'll be amazed at how easy it is with the springbar. Seconds to remove or place.

Re: Some tips?

1. Get a Bergeon 6767 Springbar Tool for changing straps. They're low cost and high quality and make changing straps a snap. The S tips are for straps, the F tips are for bracelets. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P66S6TA https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P2FLXD6 3. If you spend too much tim...

Re: Logo

Well, I know it's supposed to be a unit of distance...but hey, there's watches with moon phases and depth meters and tides, etc...so why not? :P maybe strap on a Breva Genie 03 Speedmeter, stick your arm out the cockpit and get an idea of how fast you're going...and then the right tachymetere scale?...

^^^lol the millennium falcon. that may be the best analogy yet.
