Re: Rolex: OP39 v Explorer1

Maybe it's advancing age (but still 20 years younger than AVO)... You can go off people... :grandpa: However, the more I think about the Explorer, the more I can’t stop seeing this blue Santos. https://www.cartier.co.uk/content/dam/rcq/car/17/09/95/1/1709951.png.scale.1600.high.santos-de-cartier-wa...

Re: Rolex: OP39 v Explorer1

I recently picked up an Explorer and did consider the OP39 (liked the white face) as well although my local AD didn't have either for me to try on. I decided on the explorer was told I should be able to get it before xmas but actually only took 4 weeks. I had zero history with the AD and there was n...

Rob, are you sure you aren’t comparing the 2009 to the 2012 lists above, explains better the increase.
Yes you are right... Seems I can't read properly!

Re: Dress watch - Help me decide

Little update for anyone that's interested. The C1 has been sold .....to a forum member which is nice. I'm returning the 2 CW watches and keeping the uniform wares C40 for now. Going forward i'm keeping an eye out for a 595 and also the Montblanc shown above. Thanks everyone for their input it was m...

Re: Dress watch - Help me decide

Vintage watches tend to be smaller and thinner. Anything ever caught your eye? I wear my Seiko Chariot quite often for dress up and it's ultra slim so no problem at all slipping it under a cuff. That is very nice, classic clean and simple design. looks very thin too. This caught my eye but its way ...

Re: Dress watch - Help me decide

I'd buy a plain black dial Skagen. I have 1 as my dress watch, no numbers, thin markers and hands. Looked great last time I wore it with formal evening suit at New Year. Yes they're quartz but very slim, loads of choice, about £100. If you're not wearing it much why pay out more. I think your right...

Re: Dress watch - Help me decide

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions everyone. First decision made, i'm sending the CW watches back. Both very nice but not loving either so better to keep looking.
Assuming they will appear back in the 'Nearly New' section if anyone is interested in them.

For some reason i thought that only came with the rose gold case so discounted it. For me that's a much nicer design than the slimline

Re: Dress watch - Help me decide

The CW low profile efforts don't do anything for me, too plain, so I'd ditch the C5 Slimline for something more interesting even though it is nice and thin, because there are plenty of low profile designs from other marques to pique one's fancies. Vacheron-Constantin Ultra-Thin. Piaget Altiplano 90...

Re: Uploading photos

I had the same issue... To the best of my knowledge there is no file size limitations for photo size upload (within reason) in the forum software. Tapatalk seems to have a 3MB limit. Guy Sent from my Xperia XZ Premium using Tapatalk The files were just over 5mb each, I reduced the size and they all...
