Really like these Guy, is it new? The blue and the bronze works so well. Great strap pairing also.

Re: Gower8484 - Jan 24

Gower8484 First off, that's a nice collection of watches. There's some real quality in there. I did have to chuckle about the comment you made concerning your Moonwatch: 'I love this watch but it is up for sale as i think its a delicate watch and mine do take a bit of a beating. I do wonder if I'd ...

They are so pretty and refined. And the colour pops against the white dial under the right light (and angle).
That is about as elegant as a watch can get. I love the hands, I love it all. Just gorgeous.

Re: Favourite Pairs of Hands

Has to be these, they’re just so well done. Beautiful syringe hands that look to be white enamelled. So well lumed with zero overspill. All three are elegant, but that chrono hand with its lume strip and hollowed counterbalance. 😍

Re: Semaster Planet Ocean and Why I Bought It

Great write up, Rich, really enjoyed it. On balance I think I prefer the matt dial older model too, although the enhancement to the newer movement would be worthwhile. Such a fine looking watch. Love the thin bezel an its compressed 20,30,40,50min arabics. The steroid-lite HE valve is SO much more s...

Re: CWL of the day

You can see where the external AR coating has become scuffed over the years. I got really good feedback here when i asked about this before, but there wasn't really a straightforward conclusion about best thing to do. There seems to be more than a few stories around the place where trying to remove...

Re: Non CW of the Day

Before Christmas I got a deal that I couldn't pass up. A 'Why Did I Buy It' post will be forthcoming. With this and the forum LE that arrived before the new year I am spoiled with incomings! Good thing too since this one blew my 2024 watch budget in one go. I thought I'd seen a PO creep in to...

Re: Buy a new luxury watch or...... ?

Had another thought about this... In a crowded room or social situation many people will notice someone who is well attired in good fitting, stylish clothing. Something with nice cut, perhaps, or just eye catching design. In that same room how many people will pay attention to the watch you're weari...

Re: Buy a new luxury watch or...... ?

There must be something in the air; I’ve been looking at boots online today also. I do love nice clothes, certainly as much as watches. All you need in life is a good bed and a great pair of shoes; if you’re not in one you’re in the other.

Re: StrapMeister - SOTC - January 2024

That's a pretty awesome collection of watches you have there. I really like the Sub, the gold treatment really elevates it imo. I like the Zero West Longitude, too. But for me the real star and with, perhaps, the most individuality has to go to the Chopard GP de Monaco. Such a unique dial and a very...

That's a well written account of your watches I enjoyed reading it. As nice as it is to see compelling photos of watches a great account of how they became part of your collection is equally engaging. I liked the subliminal nod to Rolex in your Sealander write up. The Bulova is particularly ch...

Re: Last arrival to ring in the New Year: Axia Time

Congrats on a really lovely watch. That is a really beautiful dial. There's quite an art deco feel to the numerals, with the lugs and crown appearing quite Omega-like. Gorgeous.

Re: Do you do NY resolutions?

No resolutions for me, but man - I have a big feeling of new stuff on the brew as we turn into next year. I’ll share a quote that’s illustrating that sense of change for me right now: You’re not obliged to be the person you were five minutes ago Alan Watts This year I was formally diagnosed autisti...
