Re: missF - March 2024

Excellent collection Lindsey and thanks for sharing the journey with us.

I think I’ve also subscribed to your “main collection plus extras you can swap” idea. My one watch search I don’t think will ever reach the end so congratulations on getting there yourself.

The hands might be next to useless in the dark, but that blue is really nice in natural light.

Re: 50th birthday watch - Schofield The Light / General Purpose Field Watch

Firstly happy birthday and congratulations on reaching the 50 milestone. That’s something very different and unique you’ve chosen to mark the occasion. Very much like your C11, this is a watch you can post of picture of and instantly every forum member will know who it belongs to. The pink suede str...

Re: BBC documentary - Rolex Rippers

I’ve just read this interesting article on the gangs behind these robberies. I’m not familiar with the news outlet but it was linked from Apple News.

Re: FLE 2023 Launch Announcement

That’s brilliant! I’m so pleased yours have been sorted out properly! Unfortunately every time I look at mine (particularly on the 11th) the date wheel shouts out at me. I’m a bit sad about it but not sure what I’m going to do about it either. The watch is stunning but it was quite a wait, to then ...

On the positive side, you can stir your tea without the need for a spatula.

Is this a subtle way of announcing you’re selling your explorer…..

I’ve actually got two of them. They’d have gone in the bin when they arrived but Mrs Iain thought they might come in handy. Little did she know.

Excellent news. Hopefully it has been repaired and not deemed “within tolerance”

Re: Watch protection system.

I’ve got this air filled pouch that a beer glass was delivered in.

If I slide it over my arm I can still see my watch and tell the time.

The only downside is that it’s turned that useful grasping tool attached to the end of my arm into more of a dibber.

My secret is keeping to low numbers of watches and no more than a couple from any brand at any one time. It makes finding the box when needed easy.
