Re: HOW MUCH!!?? (service shock)...

I very much doubt anything was actually needing repair, as such. My point was that a service is the most labour intensive work that will be done on a watch, save for actually having to make a part from scratch. I've also noticed that CW seem to default to telling customers that their watches need se...

Re: HOW MUCH!!?? (service shock)...

It's not just a service innit. It's not a running watch sent in for some fresh oil and a demagnesation. It's a broken watch sent in for repair. UKP 550 doesn't sound unreasonable A repair, in isolation, should always be cheaper than a service, as a watch service requires a full strip down of each a...

Re: Fill in The Gap...

I appreciate that there is the C63 Sealander now, but this C65 Classic in white, made in a 36mm size, would be awesome. This is the potential patient for the heart transplant, although it looks massive on my wrist. I might still try to get a 36mm Sealander for the project... https://i.imgur.com/SX5I...

Re: HOW MUCH!!?? (service shock)...

My take on this: - A estimate of £180 was provided without taking into account the specific watch. - The watch has been sent in and inspected. A quote of £550 has now been provided. - If the OP doesn’t want the work carried out (CW issue an invoice and require payment up front IIRC) all he has to d...

Re: HOW MUCH!!?? (service shock)...

Just sent my approx 5 year old C60 Pro Chrono (The Beast) for a service as the chrono refuses to run. I also asked for a new crystal to be fitted as it had a tiny chip in it. Katie from customer services indicated that the service on this model would be around £180. So, I was more than a bit shocke...

Re: C60 Elite Logo

I personally wouldn't order until the updated watch is shown on the web page. The trouble is; if everyone adopted this mantra, none of the 'old logo' watches will get sold and CW will then not introduce the 'new logo'. Catch 22? :-k :-k Guy Sent from my XPERIA 5 III using Tapatalk If it were me, I'...

Re: Future CW classics

Go on, wrack your brains. I'm sure we'll see some repetition, but I've no doubt some dark horses too. Des The C20 Lido date only or no date The C65 that never was - the C65 Classic 38mm, onion hands et al. The C60 MKII I can't think of much else that could be considered classic as most models are v...

Re: Why all the negativity towards CW?

I think the main gripes about CW in the WIS community tend to involve the logo and its many iterations, the name which to some sounds like a fashion brand, the lack of in-house movements, and sort of a lack of a brand identity. A lot of their releases also tend to be derivative of other well-known ...
