Help!

I’ve never given a thought to picking up an Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch. Next week I will be flying into Tampa, FL, and there’s a Swatch store there at the airport that carries MoonSwatches. And now I find picking one up is all I can think about! Mercury, the Moon, and Pluto all look wonderful. I thin...

CWE vs CWA

I’m recently back on Facebook and thought I’d join the Christopher Ward Enthusiasts group, since some of the fine people here are also members. I’m enjoying the posts so far and the group seems as pleasant and friendly as the forum. What I’m intrigued by are some references, both veiled and not so v...

Do you use a UV torch?
I wonder if this is requisite kit for a watchie??
Of course!

Re: Lume...

I place little stock in the utility of the lume in the dark because I rarely have need to actually read the time in the dark. Perhaps this is a learned behavior brought on by watches with poor lume? The lume for me is purely for the aesthetic value. I love charging it and looking at it. Surely, I’m ...

How timely that we’re posting at nearly the same time, expressing nearly the same sentiments! Much as we did in regards to this watch over on CWE!

Re: The Rolex Air King - Ref 126900

Congratulations! This would be the Rolex I’d go for if I were to ever seriously consider getting one. This, or a vintage Speed King maybe.

Re: 25.1.24 teaser

My initial reaction to the announcement was a yawn emoji. That was primarily a response to the hype, such as it was, rather than to the watch itself. A 36mm GMT didn’t seem like a model worthy of the teasers. As for the watch itself, I quite like it. Given a choice, I’d have gotten the 36mm GMT in w...

Re: The Rolex Explorer

@iain i’m not suggesting this might apply to you, but I have seen cases in the past where people have been desperate to get hold of “The Crown” in some form or another, and have ended up finding that the actual watch is not for them… …If it really was the watch you wanted, keep trying to bond for a...

Re: Smart Watches and the Smaller Watch Trend

I often make reference to pendulums in class when talking about trends in history - a bit of an action/reaction kind of thing. In the absence of any other expertise on the subject, I look at watch size trends the same way - the pendulum is swinging towards smaller sizes after having swung to the oth...
