Re: Martu straps - Black Friday

I’ve only purchased one and it’s fantastic. Very soft and subtle leather for a 5mm thick strap. With regards stitching, looks good on mine, although it’s worth remembering that these are basically hand made so I’d guess there will inevitably be some slight variations.

Re: CWL of the day

^^Did it come on black or blue strap? The C7 models in the sale are no longer shown on the main CW web-site - presumably these are the final remaining C7s (except for the Hornet and Rosso versions) so get them while you can ? It’s the blue webbing strap as per the sale photo. It also came in the ne...

Re: CWL of the day

Despite all the talk about Tridents and newer releases there is still some amazing value amongst some of the older and more modest CW models. This turned up this morning and it’s incredible quality and value for money (especially at 50% off). I wanted a “cheap quartz chrono” and this will do just ni...

Re: Trident C60 600 vs ?

Personally, whilst more expensive than the C60, I think the Aquis is unbeatable for quality and the variety of colours/complications/sizes.

Re: Jan sale

I picked up a C7 Chronograph (Panda) on blue canvas strap (though write up says black....I'm fine either way). Convinced myself that I needed a watch for wearing around during yardwork and on vacation when theft (Barcelona the undisputed pickpocket, petty theft capital of the globe) may come into p...

Re: Jan sale

Have people received the confirmation emails? My order went through as I had to put in the 6 digit code that was text to me as part of the payment process, plus it’s showing as pending from my account. When I check I’ve not had the confirmation email, nor is is showing as an order in my history. Mi...

Re: Jan sale

It would seem that the non-blue C65 divers have not been strong sellers; also looks like they’ve got a lot of 38mm bronze C60’s still in stock. Was hoping for the 43mm bronze but clearly they still selling those OK. I’ve been looking at various cheap quartz chrono’s recently so it seemed a shame to ...

Re: Music file software

Interesting set of requirements  I’ve previously used MediaMonkey and always found it very good for creating content i.e. ripping CD’s (including artwork) and had pretty good format support. I found it was much faster and easier to configure than iPlayer. I had a paid licence for it (the free...

Re: Tag Heuer love?

TAG Heuer - nah, never real seen any that appeal. Now Heuer - that’s a different matter altogether. My first good (expensive) watch was an Autavia GMT: https://i.postimg.cc/Pf8pwxfp/E1-C67-DC0-91-E9-4-AA8-8655-EBF21-E98937-F.jpg [not my watch, stolen image from web] I owned this from new for about 3...

Re: Clearance Returns

Surely this shouldn’t be possible, right? I mean, it’s a mechanical movement with cogs and gears, all 4 hands are the connected, they can’t move independently.. Honestly I know very little other than watching a few YouTube watch repair vids so genuinely interested in what might be causing the hour ...

Re: Clearance Returns

@timor54 - is it conceivable that the watch got a jolt whilst in transit to you? There have been various comments on here in the past about GMT watches with hands out of sync. Seems a weak spot with the movement. Guy Sent from my Xperia 5 using Tapatalk Nice try Guy  Not a mark on the packagin...
