Re: Voting for the CW Forum LE 2009

First of all I want to thank Tooks as he was the one who stepped forward and gave us what little time he could. He has done an admirable job with little to go on. Thank you! What you will see are strictly mock ups that have been done to hopefully give you some idea of where the models are headed. Th...

Re: Voting for the CW Forum LE 2009

I want to make sure that anyone that is looking at the C2 understands that the movement is a 2824 and not a 2836 ........which means it is a date only and not a day/date as the current C2 (quartz) has now. Regrettably the 2836 will not fit.

Re: Birth year watches

I think this is a wonderful idea in both cases. The problem is hunting down one. When I looked for mine I started with the manufacturers I was interested in and made note of the serial numbers that qualified for the birth year. Then I kept looking, searching and asking for the appropriate models. Fr...

Re: How about a jokes page, I'll start!

An elderly gent was invited to an old friends home for dinner one evening. He was impressed by the way his buddy preceded every request to his wife with endearing terms such as: Honey, My Love, Darling, Sweetheart, Pumpkin, etc. The couple had been married almost 70 years and, clearly, they were sti...

Re: Have i Broken my C15 ?

Coincidently I went to wear my C15 today. As i usually do I went to give it a wind and nothing. The crown/stem came out in my hand. I tried to reinstall it but the click is apparantly jammed. As it is under the 60/60 I am returning for repair. :( This is the first and only problem I have had with a ...

Photoshop Volunteer

The person who had voluntered to do some mock ups of the proposed LE's may not be able to do so quickly. We may need a back up. I am looking for another volunteer who may be able to do this in a few days. If you have the skills, time and appropriate software please let me know via pm and/ or email. ...

Re: Voting for the CW Forum LE 2009

SO.... Changed my vote to the C2 ,given the specs of the proposed c1 it now seems preferable (to me anyway). Only I would have thought the auto c2 called for a 2836-2 rather than a 2824-2 ,much like the mido commander :? The 2836-2 was the movement of choice except for 1 problem...it doesn't fit wi...

Re: Voting for the CW Forum LE 2009

I have to disagree. I think this is a timless design, just as a Rolex Datejust, an Omega Aqua Terra, a CWL C5, a CWL C1, even the C2 and most 7750 chronos if not mucked up. I am not mistaking a classic with timeless but they can at times be one and the same IMHO. A simple yet elegant watch seems to ...
