Re: Red Bezels - bit flashy or a tasteful pop of colour?

IMG_1011.jpeg I've also asked my wife, and she reckons I also can't wear pink. Which I think is achievable. Thanks for the insight though - I know it's a bit ridiculous to ask the question but I always worry about having a watch that everyone thinks is show off-y I don't think you need worry about ...

Re: Your first ‘real job’.

I view it as gaslighting. Employees are conditioned to put the interests of the employer ahead of their own as a sign of commitment and dedication . I see the same thing in school with students and the obsession in perfect attendance. I rarely take sick leave because I’m rarely so ill that I can’t ...

Re: 100M waterproof vs 150M water resistant?

I’ll admit to being a bit scared of taking my C65 GMT with 150m water resistance swimming, this is mostly because of the lack of screw down crown That's just daft. It's no more or less water resistant to 150m than a watch with a screw down crown. Oh totally daft, I agree! I’ve happily swam with 50m...

Re: Same old, Same old from CW?

I've got two children to tell off at home, I don't have a need to do the same with strangers on the internet. It was a simple statement of fact with no finger wagging. We can only appreciate brands for what they are. Good for you. Lets cool it my friend... At the end of the day we've all got better...

Re: Same old, Same old from CW?

It's very simple though, if they're not making what you want there's no need to be frustrated as I'm sure there are plenty out there that are. You're owe CW nothing, just as they're not owe you a pilot or a racing watch. Thanks for the slight telling off but I don't need that, I'd like to think thi...

Re: Same old, Same old from CW?

So here's the thing... I get an email from CW this morning and its a new watch announcement! Yes - you've guessed it - yet ANOTHER C60 derivative, this time its the C60 Anthropocene GMT! This exactly illustrates my point when I created this topic! Its the same, same old , same old from CW. Yes it l...

I don't think he is inferring the water pressure does it rather the user does inadvertently by either knocking it or putting pressure on it with the back of your hand.

I'm not sure how often you or him have done that but I've never experienced it before.

Re: 100M waterproof vs 150M water resistant?

Those pointing out that waterproof and water resistant are different things are entirely correct. A "waterproof" jacket should keep you dry whilst you'll eventually get wet in a "water resistant" jacket. Whether an actual waterproof jacket exists is another matter. However, as fa...

Re: 100M waterproof vs 150M water resistant?

It's just slightly different terminology that means the same thing (clearly the depth ratings are different). For clarity, I've bathed both my kids with my 150m rated C65 on and also with my 100m rated Explorer (once even with the crown unscrewed). Both watches manage this fine and no jelly fish get...

Re: Shoddy service

I'm confused. Was the movement broken?

Did the same dial come back the first time, fixed and with a new movement?

Re: Rolex a discussion

Some real good whisky coming out of Japan as well. I'm Scottish and I don't really care how folk spell it, no matter where it's from. I'll only be offended if you destroy it with ice or a mixer. Unless it's a bourbon, you can do what you like to that. A wee drop of water and warm it in your hand. In...

Re: Rolex a discussion

^^^^^^ great post! The product..... I've been away from home for nearly 3 weeks and I've almost exclusively worn my Explorer, save for a few hours where I felt it was inappropriate and put my CW on. This means it's been to the beach, it's played football, it's climbed tree's (yes I know!), it's bath...

Re: Rolex a discussion

^^^^ I came across some really rotten attitudes in my two closest AD's. I was in one randomly a few months later though and asked a nice lady to see a DJ from the window. She happily took my details when I told her I actually wanted an Explorer. When the manager called me a couple months later to te...
