Re: Rethinking the collection.
(This is what the forum is all about.....) Just noticed this thread. The speedbird is lovely, not heard of them before. Love doing a bit of research & finding out new brands. Can some give me a brief history? English watch sold by Time Factors..? Doesnt appear to many around? (Sorry, Google not...

Re: Next watch - New or Vintage
I am looking to add to my collection. On the new side Aristo Bauhaus or CW Pilot mkII (don't want the traditional riveted pilot strap) or I have been looking at vintage watches mostly on Ebay. Vintage makes include Rolex, Tudor, Bulova, Waltham, Breitling I have some uneasiness with purchasing a vi...

http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t519/IboBong/IMG_2462.jpg?t=1331883558 Snap. Well, sort of. My first arrival since I said a few weeks ago that I only need 3 watches. Opened about half an hour ago, and straight off the bracelet and onto rubber. http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn93/nitsypee/RI...

Re: New logo on C8 Mk II Vintage
Perhaps now could be the time to buy if you want a CW watch with the old logo. I guess they'll be phased out from now on.cbg0 wrote:Old one was a lot better.

Re: New logo on C8 Mk II Vintage
Bugger! Not anytime soon, but my next CWL purchase was 90% certain to be the C8 MKII vintage. I would not buy it with that new logo. I really don't like it and miss the old 'W within a C' the most. I think I could live with the chr ward bit tbh, but bring back the CW. Perhaps they've got 1 or 2 wit...

Re: Tomorrow I am going to fix the tap........
My kitchen mixer-tap also needs fixing. I've 2 options, basically: 1. Get a man to fix it. 2. I fix it, and then get a man to fix it.
I'll be going for option 1.
I'll be going for option 1.

Re: Non CW of the Day
After a long wait, just got this back from STS, having been mended, serviced and spruced up. Cost a small fortune, but they do a good job:

Re: Does Size Matter?
I prefer 36mm (dress) to 38mm (diver/chrono). I went into a shop the other day to try on some Omega SMPs - comparing the mid-size with the full size. I was wearing my 38mm Breitling. Put on the mid-size Omega - looked too small - then tried the larger size: too big. Put the Breitling back on: perfec...

Re: Rethinking the collection.
Following on, I've decided to reduce my collection to 1 diver, 1 chrono & 1 dress - then take it from there. I do respect your decision, but I must wonder how long this will last . Well, it's lasted about a month. And I've just ordered a strap in preparation for a new watch. In fact I've 2 watc...
