Re: Why all the negativity towards CW?

I remain delighted with my CW and impressed by the company. It’s more innovative — from the Supercompressor to the Bel Canto — than so many other brands. The build quality is superb, and the Light-catcher’s lovely. However, a WUS thread left me wondering what on earth’s going on with people :? http...

Re: CW website pics

Just putting this out there for your thoughts and discussions. I feel that - for an almost purely online company - the photos that accompany watch information on the CW site are a bit few and far between, and not particularly helpful when it comes to making decisions on size of watch. One specific ...

Re: Dream CW Watch

A 39mm Sealander with darker blue (similar to that on Oris Pointer Date Caliber 403), with minute labels removed and indexes pushed back towards edges of the dial. Also hour hand a bit longer and date removed. Did a quick mock-up on photoshop. What do you guys think? (original on the left, my mock ...

Re: Watch Comparisons Disregarding Price

What merit are you judging on? Handmade? Durability? Exotic materials? Accuracy? Rarity? Historical Relevance? Features? Also, the looks of watches are so subjective yet important to people’s preferences that I don’t think you will ever come to consensus on the best watch. I think if you just by th...

The new forum LE?

I would buy this watch, no question.

Edit: There is no 'beads of rice' bracelet available, but a vintage strap or milanaise bracelet there is...

Re: Watch Comparisons Disregarding Price

Interesting, thank you. It’s something that I always consider before a purchase, but recently I’ve become aware of Formex and Monta, among others and I really don’t think I could justify the sort of money that Rolex and Omega, of late, are now commanding. In reality, the only objective differences f...

Re: Fill in The Gap...

If I can find the right watch, it'll be worth it, but I really don't like the older font on the C63s, so I might have to wait for the secondary prices to drop.

Watch Comparisons Disregarding Price

Does anyone know if there has been, or is anywhere, a comparison of watches that completely disregards price and just judges on merit? I cannot seem to find any and it would make sense, as any Youtube content creator would be likely to tread carefully over a potentially thorny issue, particularly if...

Re: Fill in The Gap...

I second the C63, but I’m also wondering what you mean by a movement upgrade. It has the same movement as your Sinn. If you’re looking for a chronometer, the Formex Essence 39 has a very nice white dial colorway. I would be modifying it. I'll take a look at the Formex, thank you. Edit: They look lo...

Re: Fill in The Gap...

Thanks, I'm actually toying with the idea of a C63 with a movement upgrade. Also, Nomos look nice. What would be the movement upgrade on the C63? There is a relatively 'new' movement on the market made by LJP, the G100. It is essentially a decorated Miyota 9015, but made in Switzerland by a company...

Fill in The Gap...

I am in the market for a third three hander sports watch. I have the Sinn 556A and a Black Bay 36, so was thinking of something with a light dial, but from a different manufacturer. Initially, I thought about the Stowa Marine 36, but what other interesting options are there out there? I almost never...

Re: Another Omega price increase.

It occurs to me, that as manufacturing processes continue to improve, the distance between affordable watches and expensive luxury ones, in terms of build quality alone, is narrowing significantly to the point where the likes of CW can go toe to toe with Omega. For example, the new Sealander in Mulb...
