The year is 2005.

I see a picture of the original C5.

Re: Non CW of the Day

Stand back and observe as I set fire to my watch cred right here.   g-shock.jpg   Excuse: today we had to bring in and stockpile 100 cubic feet of firewood.   100-cubic-feet.jpg   I refuse to wear my C5 Mk1, or my Omega Genève, doing that. This G-Shock is an odd thing. I got it because I t...

Re: New acquisition. Now I can almost die in peace.

Watch has been received, and immediately reshipped to me, by my friends in Norfolk. Looking forward to re-strapping it, and making pretty pictures, next week. https://scontent.fams1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.15752-9/69768377_2534334373519597_6203943387054211072_n.png?_nc_cat=107&_nc_oc=AQkiXnotvjodrY...

Make sure they're landscape (width > height), and you're good, even on a PC or laptop.

Re: Vintage watch of the day (30 years+)

That's a beauty! Yes, apart from the sentimental value, I find it really charming. I even have the original Omega strap it came on, but the strap on the picture is a generic Hirsch strap, as I want the original strap to remain as nice as it is. I have been looking at Omega Constellation Pie Pans fo...

Genève.jpg This used to be my grandad's. It's had a handful of services, a new mainspring, and a new crystal (which is definitely not sapphire crystal), and the second hand isn't standard issue either. Around 4 seconds a day fast, which is nothing to be sneezed at for a watch this old. I like it a ...
