Re: The Rolex Explorer

I'd say give it the longest possible time to warm to it before deciding anything. You're still wearing it regularly, so you clearly like it. And it is a first-rate watch. I understand the issue regarding the perceptions of Rolexes and the fear of generating the wrong type of attention, as I've got a...

Re: The twelve ti new colours.

5oclockhero With respect, I think you might be reading a little too much into this. I see the range of colours in the 36mm range as pretty neutral from a gender point of view. For the 40mm range, it leans more towards traditional colours, which could be interpreted as leaning more towards males. Bu...

Re: The twelve ti new colours.

Despite CW claiming that their watches are unisex, I feel this is a slightly disingenuous claim, when it seems to me that the colours offered in the 36 range are clearly more feminine. Well that's my perception. What makes a colour feminine some may argue, and its not easy to define or even state t...

Re: San Martin

I'm with Neil here. They aren't homages, they are direct copies with a different brand on them. Why would anyone want to buy a watch from a company that directly rips off the designs and intellectual property of another company? And, even more so, why would you want to trade-in a uniquely designed w...

Re: Time variance for date flip? 1:00 vs. 12:00?

It's quite normal for this movement to go through a fairly gradual process of changing the date around midnight before finally clicking fully into place. I wouldn't worry about it. It's within the range of normal behaviour for this movement, in my experience.

Re: Who is hoping for this?

I just looked at their website. There are more colours than what is posted above. Has CW released that many colours at one time, in the past? I assume the Twelve must be selling extremely well. The colours above are those for the new Twelve 36 (Ti) model. The other colours on the site are new ones ...

^^^ It varies, so it's hard to say. Some have been (UK time) in the morning, some around lunchtime and some in the afternoon. So, who knows?

@WileyECoyote Delmar, that sounds like very sensible, pragmatic solution. Please update us on what Peter and Katie say to this idea, as I'm sure others would be interested to know if it is an option. Thanks.

Re: FLE 2023 Launch Announcement

Finally, I've got some updates for you all... Batch 1 CW can now arrange the second hand replacements for those who want it done. If you want to go ahead with this, then please email Peter France at CW (peter.france@christopherward.co.uk) who will provide you with further details of the process. Bat...
