Re: Bronze Sealander.....

I’ve never owned a bronze cased watch before.
I’ve never owned a CW Sapphire watch either.
It’s an interesting combination, and I am definitely not turned off by it, I’d like to see it in the flesh, so perhaps another trip to CW Towers might need to be booked?
Keep well,
C

Re: Bronze and Green?

I’d definitely prefer a (textured) black dial. If it was also COSC and 39-40mm I’d get my cheque book out immediately!
Keep well

Re: Bronze Sealander.....

So from the product code in the now completely dead link it's a standard (non GMT) COSC 39mm with a black dial? Sounds good. I can’t see it, link is dead. From the comments above, I am getting that it will be C63 case, bronze, 39mm diameter, COSC movement and a black dial? If so, I’m right in there...

Re: WatchGecko marketing - CW

I’ve got one of those exact straps for my Dartmouth, and a similar one in 20mm for my Sandhurst (when I’m not wearing them one the leather ones I’ve made myself). I’d second the fact that this particular strap is very decent quality, and the colour scheme really suits both Sandhurst and the Dartmout...

Abyss today https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220110/cb48cd7e3c6ffa80599a689230533e45.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I saw a couple of these in the Sale with a decent reduction. Tempted for sure, but my Lympstone has a very similar “stealth” look. Decisions, decisions…. Keep well, C

Re: RIP C65 Trident Automatic

True, it was/is a lovely watch. The black was my favourite of the two, and I certainly preferred this auto version over the manual.
Still keeping an eye on eBay for a prime example.
Keep well,

Wrapping up warm with the Sandhurst for company today. 69FAE950-E83C-4E48-8468-822B3E0C5F98.jpeg I finished sewing up this strap for it last night and think the grey/blue-ish colour really suits it. Shame I don’t have any of that leather left. It will be interesting to see how it develops patina wit...

Re: Let's see your January sale purchases!

I tried to bag the Bronze C60 LE that was listed, but someone else had faster fingers.
I’d like to see if it was anyone in here!

Re: Most unique watch you own

This is mine - C65 Dartmouth. E95E1533-53CF-4668-ACEF-474BFCEFBEFD.jpeg Nothing out of the ordinary, at first glance at least. However, look at the bezel insert carefully. This one has silvered bezel markings all the way around with the only exception being the vintage lume triangle marker at 12 o’c...

Lovely watch. I used to own one of these, but sold it in a blind moment of panic!
If you ever feel the need to find a new home for it then please bear me in mind.

Re: Great Quartz Watch Video for Collectors

Nothing wrong with a quartz watch, be it analogue or digital. I have several - F91-w, G-Shock Solar/Radio Band and C60 300 amongst others. I really appreciate their accuracy over all else, and their natural resistance to magnetism, impact and vibrations do make them a regular choice for me when in t...

All COSC Movements Are Not Created Equal (One of mine sulks…)

Since having a bit of a thin-out of the collection over the year, aside from a quartz C60 300 38mm, all my CW watches are now COSC certified. It’s not just the accuracy that I appreciate, it is the consistency and reliability of this consistency that makes the additional price so well worth it for m...

Re: January 2022 Sale

Definitely looking for something - Bronze C60 Limited Edition, a Sealander black, or a Colchester (hoping that one or more of these have been returned “Nearly New”). Aside from them, any one-offs or prototypes would be well worth my attention. Credit card, overdraft and a healthy kidney ready for do...
