Another great review Josh. I also owned this watch and loved it....only sold it to fund a grail watch and do miss it. I am one of those who does not care for the cyclops so this is one of two in Steinhart's Ocean series that worked well for me. Curious how long it will stay at this price before move...

Perhaps Steinhart has hedged pricing with a significant pre-buy of ETA movements to shelter....or may simply purchase more movements and receive stronger pricing ?

Not really, robinbarke just likes to snipe his negativity as often as possible. Christopher Ward himself as stated publicly on this forum, that the defect rate is very low (less than 3%) and robin apparently has better information and challenges Chris' integrity. Buy with confidence, buy knowing you...

Hi Ferg, I've actually placed it flat in the watchbox and decided to await the arrival of the Omega Style deployant so not to crease the strap with the pin and buckle.

Thanks Richard (BC) a good read. I too have looked at the Planet Ocean 8500 and as magical as the movement and exhibition back is, it's too thick and I will be keeping my PO 2500 :)
