ETA or Sellita? No idea, it seems

A friend of mine contacted CW to ask, out of interest, whether his C60 had a Sellita or ETA movement (ie. based on provision of the serial number), yet was told they did not know ... the only way of knowing was to open the back to see (which could affect the warranty). ...

Sellita instead ETA in my C60 COSC

... Chr. Ward, a respectable brand, could sell you something you are not aware of ? Clearly, if it was indicated that the movement could be either a Sellita or an ETA, I wouldn't have buy it.

The Sellita SW200-1 movement

In the way that other brands do, could CW make a small change/addition to it and call it a CW10 or whatever. I know it's bs but when potential buyers look at say a basic Omega they think ooo Swiss made by omega and I believe some people (myself included) may look at the website and see that CW just ...

Eta 2824 or Sellita SW200

I'm new to CW, and have a question about the Swiss movements. Is there a quick way without opening up the back to know which movement is inside? Some of the older C60's said on the back 25 jewels and thus letting you know this had the ETA movement. Any tips appreciated. Thanks.

Many thanks!

Second clutch failure on Sellita SW200 movement

... I have never had a clutch problem with any of my Rolex or ETA powered autos and have been handwinding for years as well as wearing them, but the Sellita's have both failed within a week of each other :hangman: Anybody else having issues? Regrettably the C60 will have to go back... :(

Shock protection Eta 2824 v. Sellita SW 200

... Eta 2824 movements use (unless specified otherwise) the in house Etachoc shock protection system while the Chronometer and Top grade use Incabloc. Sellita now use Incabloc's new Novodiac shock protector in all their movements. Is this good enough reason at last to welcome, or even prefer, the Sellita ...
