Re: My New Halios Laguna Diver

I've only just seen this, too, and I think it looks fantastic  I love the simplicity and the retro look. I have to say that I prefer the bracelet though. I'm slowly being drawn to the square 70s look. While looking for a new GMT I'm drawn to this Glycine Airman: http://i1094.photobucket.com...

Re: Recommend me a GMT

I would very much like a speedbird gmt too but the word on the street is that any gmt movements obtained by timefactors will be dropped into the new Dreadnought gmt and the speedbird gmt will probably be discontinued Eddie emailed me, when I asked, to say he still plans on making them, just trying ...

Re: My new Speedy

Yeah, it's starting to grow on me, going to keep hold of it for a while :) That didn't take long  About 9 hours and 10 minutes by my calculations :D It looks good Mack, not too small at all. It's weird to think that less than 10 years ago a 39mm Speedy would have been considered MASSIVE :?

Re: Recommend me a GMT

I contacted Eddie at Time Factors and he is indeed struggling to find the movements for the Speedbird GMT. On a more positive note, my Tag Heuer Carrera GMT is now sold so I have the funds in place for the replacement  But what? Any further ideas welcome please. The Hamilton is still winning

Re: Three hours too fast per day

 Yowsers! I thought my Fortis Tuxedo was bad at 5 minutes fast per day. It's getting sent for servicing today to this place: http://www.thewatchspotblog.com His name's Richard Askham (richard_askham@hotmail.com). Get in touch and see what he says. He seems like a genuine and pleasant bloke, a...

Re: Recommend me a GMT

The Speedbird, although I still think the squared-off hour hand is a letdown, and at 39mm, it is on the small side... And it's currently unavailable… :( I think Eddie at Time Factors is planning to do more but a bit of reading around and it seems ETA movements are getting harder to come by :? I agr...

Re: Anyone used this online shop?

So all in all they seem OK. Not sure of the legality of refusing manufacturer warranty, but I guess if it's a 2-year warranty it doesn't make much difference if it's with the seller or manufacturer :? Thanks Alasdair. It was the Khaki Navy GMT I was looking at. Can't decide bewtween that and a Speed...

Re: Recommend me a GMT

Personally, I'm not sure the GMT function on the Hammy is sufficiently 'obvious'. As for the RW, I like it all apart from the logo plate. How about one of these... http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg288/novocainekarma/2216253D-E748-4C5E-ACC4-3CDDFBA67155-28125-000024EFECEBF947.jpg (borrowed pic)....

Re: Recommend me a GMT

OK, so more options and opinions required please  Out of these two, which one gets the vote? Both use the ETA 2893-2 movement - just in slightly different ways: http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i458/jigger72/nabucco_3800-ST-05207.jpg Raymond Weil 3800-ST-05207 Nabucco GMT - 44mm http://i...
