Re: When to wear alligator pattern strap?

Thanks Sporcshe, I think we are on the same page. I ordered a Bolles black alligator embossed leather strap from Watch Gecko for my C3 Malvern. I hope it will have a nice look. If it is a quality strap, I may get one in blue to match the hands.

Re: Is it just me mourning the demise of 43mm?

Personal opinion - I wish all models were available in 38mm sizes. What first drew me to the CW brand was their willingness to provide watches in the smaller size, despite the trend for larger sizes. I can wear most watch sizes (I do draw the line at anything over 42mm though) and would love to see...

When to wear alligator pattern strap?

What are the best occasions or attire for wearing an alligator embossed black leather strap?

Thanks,

Leon

Re: Clearance Returns

My NN C3 arrived with a crudely punched extra hole in the strap. I can live with it until I replace the strap.

Re: Advice for Perfecting Fit of Trident Bracelet

Hello My wrist is about 18.5cm circumference and I had exactly the same issue as you are facing with my first CW watch, the 38mm Mark2 Trident C60. I am afraid that in the absence of a "half" link option, there was no way that I could get the perfect fit. So I opted to have it sized on the slightly...

Re: Help w/strap selection

Most of the black dialed watches I've seen look attractive on the vintage oak camel straps. It's definitely a casual look, but dressier than a silicone or hybrid strap.

Advice for Perfecting Fit of Trident Bracelet

Greetings, I just received my C60 Trident Chronograph and I am very impressed. The bracelet is not quick release, but the clasp has the ratcheting micro-adjustments. My wrist is just shy of 18 cm in diameter, so I had it sized to 18 cm rather than the tighter 17.5 cm. The fit is close, but the watch...

Re: Am I too Harsh in My Expectations of a Quartz Watch

Is the inconsistency of hitting and missing the marks related to the particular movement or the way the hands are set?

Re: Am I too Harsh in My Expectations of a Quartz Watch

My own quartz watches these days tend to be chronographs, so it’s not really an issue. And if I do use the chronograph to time something, it’s not usually anything too precise anyway. Once I have set the watch, then the running seconds subdial to me is only an indicator that the watch is actually w...

Re: Am I too Harsh in My Expectations of a Quartz Watch

I'd say so I have a $80 quartz Citizen eco drive that's dead on the markers each second. I have a $80 Seiko that isn't. My other Eco drive citizen misses maybe 4 out of 60 and it's a really small miss. My Timex Q quartz misses maybe 12 out of 60 (Seiko movement) I'd say that most sub $1k quartz wat...

Re: C60 Crown "cracking"

Does the counterclockwise technique also apply to quartz watches? As far as I’m concerned, yes. I have three CW quartz chronographs and I always screw the crowns in using exactly the same method. Thanks I tried it on several quartz watches that I had to reset for DST, and the technique seemed to wo...
