Re: Newmark 71 Sports diver

They look incredible. Now that's what I call vintage done well. The bracelet looks gorgeous. Can't believe you can pick up a watch of that spec for £400; £300 if you commit earlier. Only A few day s ago I put up a post about the Miyota 9130 movement in one of my watches that cost £900. To be offere...

Re: Non CW of the Day

Been wearing, until now, my Valhalla of Norway Deep Fjord in celebration of Norway Day. Guy Sent from my Xperia XZ Premium using Tapatalk What a lovely hue of blue. Looks particularly eye-catching on the bezel. Got to get off this forum, it keeps pointing me in the direction of watches I've never c...

Re: Miyota movement accuracy query

Rest easy. Miyota were established and are owned by Citizen - who know a thing or two about making watches at all levels! Speaking purely for myself, I don't currently have a Miyota driven watch, but I would have no hesitation buying one if the right design and opportunity arose. Thanks for that H0...

Re: Miyota movement accuracy query

Wow... Thanks for all the replies guys. You all seem to take this watch stuff very seriously. I had a feeling that this forum would be a hotbed for all things watch related. Regarding accuracy, there are 86,400 seconds every day. If I should be 12-15 astray of nuclear time, it's not the end of the w...

Re: Miyota movement accuracy query

The Miyota 9130 is indeed a premium movement, more expensive and feature rich than the ETA2824 Magnetized? Guy Sent from my Xperia XZ Premium using Tapatalk Thanks for the replies. Like I said, I'm very pleased with the watch, just wanted a little reassurance where the tolerance was concerned. It c...

Miyota movement accuracy query

Hi there, I wonder if anyone on this forum has an auto watch ran by a Miyota movement? Last year I bought a watch that was powered by a Miyota 9130, which I was assured was comparable to a ETA 2824 (elabore). I very much liked the watch, but the engine was the most important consideration for me. I ...

Re: C60 Trident Mk3 - pictures..!

Wow, gorgeous capture, Guy. The finishing on that looks amazing. How crisp is that bezel? Like a good bezel, me!! The light catcher lines on the lugs are a great detail, too. And...it's a real winner on the nato.

Re: C60 Trident Mk3 - pictures..!

Will keep an eye out for that review... I like the look of the black dial/bezel in 40mm. I'd be curious to hear what kind of accuracy people are getting out of the SW200 movement, it seems that CW do quite a good job of regulating them.

Re: C60 Trident Mk3 - pictures..!

Oh...thanks for that Iain. I did have some concerns, but I think that works really well. How are you getting on with the watch, are you pleased with it? Personally, I think I prefer the new hands to the old onion and sword hands.

Re: C60 Trident Mk3 - pictures..!

Hey... I've been having a good look at the MK3's and I think they look great. Without trawling through all the earlier posts, I just wondered if someone could supply a photo with the hands overlapping: as in 6pm or 2.45pm. I just wonder how much the minute hand overlaps the hour hand.

Re: Non CW of the Day

Sunny in Killarney, south-west Ireland. Time to get the sunray silver dial out... IMG_1423.jpeg Don't see many Tynehams around here. How do you find it? It's a great watch; a custom variant that EB made for me. I had to get used to the smaller diameter (41mm), and its thickness (13.5mm). It's a rea...

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/40844395603_77b3602da2_c.jpg That's a lovely piece, love the numbering, very unique. Know nothing about the brand, is it an auto? The dimensions look fairly large? The spots at the end of the indexes are really unusual, can't remember seeing that on a dial elsewh...

Re: Going to give an MK3 GMT 38mm a try.

A tale of two GMTs..... https://i.imgur.com/UYSabBx.jpg Personally I prefer the look of the CW. The claret coloured bezel looks fantastic. I think I prefer the GMT hand. I really like the light-catcher lines on the CW lugs and, to finish, I've never really been a fan of the cyclops on a Rolex. Oh.....
