Re: New Arrival Incoming!

Well, I will admit that “puppy” is probably misleading. He’s fifteen, mostly blind and pretty much deaf. It turns out though that while his sense of smell is just fine, his digestive system seems to have reacted badly to the small, fury and very dead thing he managed to sniff out on his evening walk...

New Arrival Incoming!

My first thread start, please treat me gently! Thanks to a rather sick puppy the other evening I was forced into a night of very little sleep. To occupy myself I took to window shopping on-line and noticed that the CW site’s “Clearance” section had been restocked. Oh, happy days! One model jumped ou...

Re: C65 Trident Diver: 2 Questions

I can confirm “Yes” to both questions. I own both the models you are asking about and the box sapphire crystals do have that hint of blue in them if you catch the light correctly. The AR coating is pretty decent, in my humble opinion, and I actually quite like the blue tint whenever I catch sight of...

Re: 40mm Trident. Could it be true?

40mm could be a very popular size, I’d certainly be happy with one. I wonder what size strap it would be - 20mm might look too slender; 22mm might look too chunky? But I guess that comes down to a combination of lug geometry and strap taper too? The 20mm option seems more these days so I’m betting o...

Re: C8 Concorde - Born from dreams

C8 model - I’m guessing that would be a 44mm case diameter beast then? If so, too big for me although I am still tempted by it. email sent asking for further specifications and pics.

Re: January Sale 2019

I spotted that the “Sale” or “Clearance” section seems to have been restocked.
Bagged myself a bargain, due for delivery early next week. Woo Hoo!

Re: Poor Service Provided by Christopher Ward

You seem to have had a disappointing experience with CW. However, I’ve had CW several watches over recent years and have had to send a couple back for various, different reasons (anything from a minor issue with a new buy to a general service of an older watch) and have had nothing but excellent ser...

Re: C60 Homage

Having had another good look at it and I must agree that the cases look very, very close. The contours of the lugs are almost identical, so are the angles and proportions of the crown guards. Even the slope of the bezel insert and coin edge effect look to be mirrored. From the images I have seen, th...

The blue on blue is not far off either, especially with the wave pattern dial.

Re: Disapearing C60 600 GMT.

There were some hints of a new GMT in Loupe last issue, I think? If I remember correctly they were based on the C65 case, circular hour markers and possibly a red/blue bezel colour? I have a C65 GMT and love it. For me the 41mm size is preferable to either the 38mm or 43mm of the C60 versions, espec...

C29B9704-7B22-4800-AF22-D172572F9EFC.jpeg I ordered myself a C60Trident Vintage and it arrived a couple of days ago. Hats off to CW and their team for a first class service; expletives, raspberries and a plethora of hand gestures in the general direction of DPD who messed the delivery up at each an...

Re: CWL of the day

I was fortunate enough to bag myself one of these in the Sales last week. It’s been on the wrist for the last couple of days. I’ve swapped the brushed bracelet for a custom leather/canvas one and am enjoying a bit of fresh air with the dog. Have a good weekend everyone! C BEBE455B-B6D0-4402-9229-65D...

Re: C60 Trident 300 Quartz - with a ceramic bezel

One of my first CW watches was a Trident diver with an aluminium bezel. It needed a service and, while I was discussing this with them, I asked if upgrading the bezel insert to ceramic would be a possibility. I was told that they would only exchange like-for-like, even down to the colour. This was t...
