Re: Smiths Vanguard anyone?

Personally I think it’s a slab-sided brute of a thing. And the polished bezel seems far to wide in my eyes.

One has just appeared on the TZ sales corner for the second time in as many days! must be close to a record.

New in yesterday and now obsessively set to time is and the second and minute hand bang on. Maybe a touch big for my wrists (looks worse in picture but ok in real life) but very happy with it and thanks for the tz sales tips

Re: C60 Trident Elite 1000 (mk3) - thoughts after a week

I don’t think that’s enough reason. The watch itself is great. I am sure some people will be fine with it the way it is, but either way it’s very easy to replace, specially with the new easy to remove spring bars. Plenty of good options directly from CW - like their standard rubber that I am waitin...

If you’re dreaming of a Konstantin Chaykin Joker then this is probably the stuff of nightmares

It’s not often that Invicta features in this thread (for those of a sensitive disposition, don’t click on the link :sabber:)

I think I shall not get involved with this discussion.

Re: MKSnato sailcloth straps

Sailcloth from the 1960’s and earlier might have had the look and feel of what people associate with sailcloth straps e.g. woven canvas or cotton. Sailcloth has for many years been predominantly produced from synthetic fibres: Dacron, Mylar, Kevlar, Vectran and all sort of other exotic laminates. So...

Re: Collector’s dilemma...Do you wear ‘em all?

I suffer from a permanent feeling of angst with regards to my watches. I hesitate to use the term ‘collection’ as I don’t think of myself as a collector, rather I have a selection of watches I want and like to wear. I’m continually trying to keep the numbers down but invariably end up with fewer pie...

Re: Coffee machines woes.

The one other that interests me is the AeroPress which is a hand-pressed single espresso gadget that I’ve generally heard good things about. I am an AeroPress devotee! I absolutely love it. In fact, it converted me to a coffee drinker. I buy fresh beans and grind each morning. With an AeroPress, th...

Re: Coffee machines woes.

I’ve avoided any form of capsule type machine for a variety of reasons: cost, limited range of coffees and the environmental impact of all those discarded plastic pods. I buy fresh roasted beans, which gives me enormous choice, and grind them as I need them. WRT machines, I have a DeLonghi espresso ...
