Re: Trident C60 where would it stand?

^ Very true - it’s been very noticeable that the volume of complaints about CW Customer Service has exploded in the last 6-12 months; before that we were all talking about how fantastic it was. Not just good, but great. I can speak from personal experience here. I just got word that Tudor will refur...

Re: Got stung on eBay

Fabulous. Apart from the colourways, which manage to be both bold and understated at the same time , the 4 part case is masterful. C7s are highly underrated and I can’t understand why.

Re: Trident C60 where would it stand?

On first reading that's some statement from you putting the Trident Mk3 in your "Top Notch" category alongside the Seamaster Pro. ... Are you saying that the Mk3 should be considered "Top Notch" because of it's quality for the price OR that it's totally on a par with the SMP for build and component...

Re: Trident C60 where would it stand?

I have a Tudor Black Bay 36 for quality reference and the fit and finish is not a million miles away. The customer service from Tudor however, is in another league entirely and that forms part of the quality of the whole ownership experience. To fuel the customer service debate a little, my Tudor G...

Re: Trident C60 where would it stand?

As a new member, and someone with no experience of CW in their earlier, happier, days, it’s reasonable for the OP to be a little wary of their promises, having read a plethora of complaints over the past several months. What is very telling is that a large portion of the complaining posts are initia...

Re: Import charge

Fedex charges £12 for their service. I’ve not been that impressed by Fedex, but often the carrier isn’t the buyer’s choice.

Re: What happened to CW?

Switzerland is in the Single Market, which allows free movement of goods between it and the EU, so if the EU is a more important market than the UK, then there is trade upside to moving there. Lower corporation tax and VAT rates too. It's complicated. Switzerland has agreements that allow partial a...

Re: how reliable are the new microbrands?

I’ve read a lot of chat about the Newmarket 71, now fully funded and sold out on KS. Reviews have been very positive. I’m not a backer because I’m off KS but this one has a pretty decent feeling about it. Time will tell, and I hope it works out, knowing a few folks who have backed it.

Re: Bronze Magrette Waterman

I liked it when I saw it on the website, and it certainly looks fantastic. Bronze and blue is a perfect match and the straps look great. Slightly less bulky than some of the other Magrettes which I would say makes it overall more wearable.

Re: Congratulations England

Ballsy move to put the rookie in for the Super Over; he was on form but it almost didn’t pay off. Amazing - thought we had blown it after inching our way to 40 overs but what a finish! So many great moments in both sides - marvellous fielding from the Black Caps, great bowling on both sides, the cat...

Re: Date Options

I have recently discovered a preference for no date, because date windows, if executed poorly, can badly upset the balance of the dial, especially when it introduces a lume void - a half index next to the date window can certainly help (see the CW C7 Automatic for a masterclass in stealth date windo...
