Re: MOANA PACIFIC PROFESSIONAL TITANIUM

Jos, if you’re still ummming and ahhhing over this, below is the review I wrote after it arrived, just about a year ago. I still feel the same excitement I did back then. To your question about the date window - some models do and some do not. The Kara 10th Anniversary edition does not. You don’t ne...

Re: DiRenzo DRZ 02: THE Best Kickstarter watch I’ve purchased.

Welcome back Gary, I’d noticed you hadn’t been around, then saw you pop up yesterday on the Apex post. Good to see you. Interesting look - and good to hear a good experience of KS, which can be a bit of a punt sometimes. Just browsed the KS page - backers are very happy. The blue (my favourite colou...

Re: C60 Apex Limited Edition Preview | Launches 28th August

This speaks to me more than the previous Apex models, and while the price tag is hefty (1/6 more than previous versions), everything is relative. Not for me, but there will be folks out there who are comparing to offering from other houses (Richard Mille springs to mind) and will regard these as com...

Re: GMT 60 Mk III 40mm?

those who, if we are being honest, find the 42/43 mm watches perfectly wearable but just about on the limit, whereas the 38 mm versions appear to many of us rather small for the form and function. That’s me. The Mk2 43mm is at my upper limit, and the 38mm version my lower limit. I haven’t seen a 40...

Re: MOANA PACIFIC PROFESSIONAL TITANIUM

^ and I’m very glad you did, Neil, because I bought it from you. The lack of a date window being a positive for me, as was the Titanium case, which made a large watch very wearable on my 7 inch wrist. ...hopefully you are still enjoying it... :D :D I am thanks Neil. It’s great for the hot weather w...

Re: C8 Concorde - Born from dreams

^^^ These words sound like they are directed at CW the company and I t seems Watchbuyer is under the impression that Guy works for CW, which isn’t the case. While Chris and members of the CW team do indeed read these posts, they don’t engage, which is perfectly understandable. @Watchbuyer - if your ...

Re: nope, nope, nope, nope, oooooh!

Hi Lindsey, hope you’re feeling better. I have no strategy, and I don’t go out looking for anything specific. If I did, then I’d own even more watches than I already do. My choices are often “accidental” - here’s my process. By chance I will see something I like on a website or in a magazine, then I...

Re: Tokyo - used watches?

^ That was my thought. If I get a chance to visit, I might be able to get it back home without the wife noticing. When she eventually sees it she won’t notice because “all those watches look the same”... :D

Re: Straps for CW C60 Trident 43mm

Erikasoriginals are great summer straps (worth the premium over the cheaper copies) but at €50 a go, you may be better putting the money against the bracelet. If you’re shopping Stateside, Nick Mankey Designs does a similar but different strap at under $30.

Re: Tokyo - used watches?

^^^^ Great photos and some some scary prices there but from what I have read, there’s plenty of stock to be had. Worth a look if I can make it there. Trip planned to HK but it’s looking dicey so May be diverted to Tokyo. Or may get caught up in the unrest.
