Re: Forum and/or Facebook

I’ve applied to join the CWA group. I used to be a member of the CWE group but got dropped without explanation, not sure why but the last thing I remember posting was a link to the Farer website with a comment that their GMTs looked interesting, not promoting it (I’m not affiliated with them in any ...

Re: C65 Trident Bronze SH21 LE £1850

I like it a lot - the bronze is really nice (agree patina might have to be cleaned off regularly to kee the golden hue), it’s balanced, and I like the shape of the date window. No G at 6 o’clock, which is also one of the features that put me off the existing C65 diver. For me it ticks all the boxes ...

Re: Summary - Chat with Chris 2018

This was really interesting - long, but in a good way. It’s refreshing to see senior management engage with customers in such a way. Thanks Kip for setting it up and publishing the recording. I appreciate the time and effort it must have taken. I’ve noticed CW seems to be launching new products ever...

Fabulous. Thank you for taking the time to write this. Wonderful pictures in a setting that matches the watch’s character perfectly. The quality of members’ reviews has been consistently very high and yours is no exception.

Really interesting thanks Kip. Can’t wait for the video / transcript to be ready. Sounds like there’s lots going on, which is very encouraging.

Re: Small wrist for a c60

^^^ Welcome aboard. I agree 100% with DISJT. I have the same size (7 inch) wrist & have both sizes of Trident C60. In my view, at this wrist size, the 43mm wears larger than the 38mm wears small, if that makes any sense. You could order the 38mm and if you feel it’s too small, return it under the 60...

Re: Love at First Sight - Review of the Blue C60 Trident Pro

What a wonderful review and a terrific back story. Context really brings it to life. Thanks for sharing.

The C60 is a wonderful timepiece, as you say, checking all the boxes, and for good reason I think, it’s CW’s biggest seller.

Anyone Heathrow travellers want a Tudor GMT?

I don’t know if these are hard to come by, but the Harrods boutique in Heathrow Terminal 2 just offered me a Tudor GMT. I declined it because I have one already. If you are flying through Heathrow in the next few days, call Heathrow’s Personal Shopper Service and ask if they can secure if for you. T...

Re: CW C60 43 or 38mm?

I have a 7 inch wrist, and have both 38mm and 43mm Tridents. I’ve said before, in my opinion these both occupy the outer limits of what I feel I can wear in tool watches. The 43mm feels large (but not too large, only just); it is heavy, but I wear mine on a bracelet. The 38mm is at the opposite end ...

Re: FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia

Jeez, can’t even say well played without someone bursting a blood vessel. I deliberately used the word ‘chances’ in case someone spat the dummy about how they outplayed us across the 120. On balance I’d rather have watched them lose a semi-final than go out at an earlier stage or not qualify at all....

Lingard shot, Kane near post, Sterling breaks, Stones header, Kane header opportunity at the end. Those were chances and if we’d have put any of them away we might have won.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia

^^ It’ll be hard for them - having played 6 hours of football plus 2 penalty shootouts in 11 days, and it looks like a few of them have picked up some knocks. They got stronger in the second half while we tired, and we paid the price for not taking our chances in the first half. Well played to both ...

Re: Incomming - It's Been A Wait - But It Was Worth It

It’s a beautiful watch, really classy. When it was first announced, I was unmoved, preferring the look of the new Rolex GMT. I soon changed my mind after reading / watching several reviews. For my budget it’s an expensive watch, but when I was offered one, I pondered for up to 5 minutes before takin...

Re: Help Setting The Reference Time - Tudor GMT

This threw me a bit too, as it’s the opposite of how the CW Tridents work. The Tudor GMT is designed so that the red GMT hand shows your Home time zone (you’ll notice the white, main hour hand moves in tandem). Once you’ve set the red hand, change the main hour hand to your local time wherever you h...
