First picture

Just installed Tapatalk, so wanted to post my first ever photo, as a sort of test, before drumming up the courage to write my first review of today’s arrival, picked up from SC. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180815/1ab9820d4ba93b0543d479643a9a1e20.jpg Tudor GMT Pepsi on an MN strap, probably th...

Re: I’ll be in the doghouse tomorrow

Jeez, do you have to ask to borrow the trousers too? Man up and grow a pair is my only advice  Easy for you to say, from your name I’m assuming you’re from rugby league country (Balmain or Castleford?), so you have an advantage over me, as I’m on the underside of the North/South divide in ...

Re: I’ll be in the doghouse tomorrow

Just a question from a lone wolf who doesn’t have these problems... Does the OP's good lady (or anyone else’s come to that) ever end up in the Lady Dog House at his behest for stuff that she buys? Or is Kennel Street a one-way, boys only thoroughfare? If so, why? :ka: Explain. Ha ha, ther...

I’ll be in the doghouse tomorrow

A few months ago after a bit of a flurry, my wife told me in no uncertain terms, “no more watches”. Admittedly that was after a couple of lemons arrived from Catawiki sellers in the space of 4 weeks. So vehement was the order, that when I announced a few days later that I was expecting a package, an...

Re: 10 Quickfire Questions About Your Collection

How many watches currently in your collection: 21. The most popular brand in your collection and how many: Oris (3) & CW (3). Your current 'best' watch: Tudor GMT. Your 'regret' watch that you sold and regretted: No regrets, never sold one. Your 'beater' watch: Don’t have a beater, I wear 7 or 8 of ...

Re: Favourite brands – a perennial question re-visited

Absolutely agree that your favourite brand may not coincide with your favourite watch. As a young man, I didn’t have that much of an interest in watches - I had a few quartz watches picked up opportunistically, but without much thought. I developed an interest in more rugged watches in the late 1990...

Re: Summary - Chat with Chris 2018

Looks great, and much cheaper than Chris’s original fag packet estimate. I have a couple of watch rolls and a duplex case and they aren’t suited to the watches I have on deployants (without removing one side). This pod design is better suited to a bracelet too. Respect to CW for reacting so quickly ...

Re: Forum and/or Facebook

I’ve applied to join the CWA group. I used to be a member of the CWE group but got dropped without explanation, not sure why but the last thing I remember posting was a link to the Farer website with a comment that their GMTs looked interesting, not promoting it (I’m not affiliated with them in any ...

Re: C65 Trident Bronze SH21 LE £1850

I like it a lot - the bronze is really nice (agree patina might have to be cleaned off regularly to kee the golden hue), it’s balanced, and I like the shape of the date window. No G at 6 o’clock, which is also one of the features that put me off the existing C65 diver. For me it ticks all the boxes ...

Re: Summary - Chat with Chris 2018

This was really interesting - long, but in a good way. It’s refreshing to see senior management engage with customers in such a way. Thanks Kip for setting it up and publishing the recording. I appreciate the time and effort it must have taken. I’ve noticed CW seems to be launching new products ever...

Fabulous. Thank you for taking the time to write this. Wonderful pictures in a setting that matches the watch’s character perfectly. The quality of members’ reviews has been consistently very high and yours is no exception.

Re: Small wrist for a c60

^^^ Welcome aboard. I agree 100% with DISJT. I have the same size (7 inch) wrist & have both sizes of Trident C60. In my view, at this wrist size, the 43mm wears larger than the 38mm wears small, if that makes any sense. You could order the 38mm and if you feel it’s too small, return it under the 60...

Re: Love at First Sight - Review of the Blue C60 Trident Pro

What a wonderful review and a terrific back story. Context really brings it to life. Thanks for sharing.

The C60 is a wonderful timepiece, as you say, checking all the boxes, and for good reason I think, it’s CW’s biggest seller.
