Re: Rubber strap recommendations for my first CW!

Welcome to the world of CW watches.

Watchgecko has a large selection of straps. Their rubber Tropics are very good, but there are plenty of others too.

That is very, very nice. Congratulations. Breguet is a class brand and that is a work of art.

Axios Ironclad on Kickstarter

Has anyone seen the Kickstarter campaign for the Axios Ironclad? It’s the first offering from a Singapore team which includes Elshan Tang, he of Zelos. He’s the only reason I’ve backed it (I’ve not been terribly impressed with KS before). Knowing and owning Zelos watches, I’ve made an exception base...

Do you like bronze watches?

Bronze has a warmth which isn’t possible with stainless steel.

^ Thanks Guy. Actually I spotted Josh’s post elsewhere so I’ll take a look later. Been retrieving a long absent Tudor BB GMT from the Rolex Service Centre, which I must say hasn’t impressed me.

Re: Do you like bronze watches?

I have a CW C60 Bronze and a Zelos Mako in bronze (one of my most worn), and I have admired the Magrette Bronze Waterman from afar. The resilience afforded by patina is remarkable, and the ease of cleaning allows a full reset in 2 minutes with a little lemon juice.

I’ve watched almost 30 minutes of the video on YouTube but eventually given up as I’ve struggled to hear the audio clearly. Hopefully a summary of the mani Q&A items will appear.

Re: London GTG / CW Event - Chat with Co-Founders - Saturday 31st August 2019

40mm in Black / Black has been the best seller of the C60 Trident Mk3 releases. I’ve always felt the 38mm-43mm range was at both extremes of what I can wear comfortably, and that 40mm would be perfect. It seems the C60 Mk3 buyers agree. If that gives CW a reason to expand the C60 range at that size...

Re: MOANA PACIFIC PROFESSIONAL TITANIUM

One more thing, from what I’ve read, the bracelet buckle is extremely thick - 5mm or so - I can’t remember where I read that though, so worth googling it or asking the folks at ForaSec.

Re: MOANA PACIFIC PROFESSIONAL TITANIUM

Jos, if you’re still ummming and ahhhing over this, below is the review I wrote after it arrived, just about a year ago. I still feel the same excitement I did back then. To your question about the date window - some models do and some do not. The Kara 10th Anniversary edition does not. You don’t ne...

Re: DiRenzo DRZ 02: THE Best Kickstarter watch I’ve purchased.

Welcome back Gary, I’d noticed you hadn’t been around, then saw you pop up yesterday on the Apex post. Good to see you. Interesting look - and good to hear a good experience of KS, which can be a bit of a punt sometimes. Just browsed the KS page - backers are very happy. The blue (my favourite colou...
