^^^ Then don't go after this one...

Unless you really want a "Time Engine" for $200 that you can pick up on Amazon for $20 or less.

Re: C8 Power Reserve Chronometer (WRC2)

Thanks, HOratiO. Yeah, the design concept for the date window is something I quite like when all attributes are considered together. And I totally agree about the big crown paired with the SH21. Nothing else in my collection comes close to the way the C8PR feels when winding.

C8 Power Reserve Chronometer (WRC2)

Model: C08-44HPR1-S00K1-TK Date Acquired: 01/2018 1.JPG Watch complications...we love them. Yes a certain purity exists in a three-hand timepiece that soberly tells the time, but mechanical complications add intrinsic complexity and value. But perhaps more importantly from an operational point-of-v...

Re: Jaguar to sue Christopher Ward

If I’ve heard right jaguar are going on a three day week  I would have thought they had more pressing problems than this or has CW damaged their image that much :escape: No. This is utterly pressing. It appears Jag is upset that their cars don’t work as well as the CW D-type watches and it h...

Certainly unique! I'd say what catches my eye most is the design of the seconds hand.

Re: C8 Birkin's Blower TMB Limited Edition Reduced to £1995

^^^ Truth would be that the case is new 316L stainless steel. But perhaps you're suggesting that all watch cases made from steel are scrap metal. Just...new scrap metal as opposed to old pistons. Still, that scrap metal has to be purchased, melted, milled, stamped or etched, brushed, polished, etc.....

Re: Introducing the anOrdain Model 1

- I quite like the look of this watch, the enamel is spot on. Certainly unique and I'd be happy to have one. - A guarantee of 5 years, nice. We are used to this with CW, but it's a strong position to go with out of the gate. - They used an SW200, clearly for the automatic feature (hence the custom r...

Re: Farer Chronographs

You certainly know a Farer when you see one. They don't really even need a logo..."man, that watch really shouts 'I'm here!'" "Yeah, it's a Farer."

Not a bad price to help get their capital going...considering the movement alone is around $300.

Cool experience I'm sure. In very few places could you walk in and the "man himself" come down for reasonable chat. Congrats on the purchase, looks great.

Re: Steinharts rolex 116655 homage...views

If a student did what Steinhart does with a computer program in my class they would get an Academic Honesty Violation. What I'd like to know is when marketing chums came up with the term 'homage' to replace 'copy' (aka plagiarism).

I certainly peruse more than I post. I am probably in the same bucket as you since I typically only post when I have something I feel is worth sharing. I mostly use the forum to keep up with CWL things.
