Re: Watch Winders

Having increased my watch collection (again) I have decided to ditch the winders and just enjoy winding the watch I will wear on a particular day. If anyone wants a Piccilo winder to tinker with, please let me know. I think that’s a good call. I had watch winders in the past, but the only one I rea...

Re: Alan Sugar’s [overvalued] Rolex collection

I am sure you're right about the Rolex waiting list. Would be nice to have friends in high places too. Saw this in the Mail on Sunday today. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6451731/Apprentice-fans-clock-Sir-Alan-Sugar-wearing-SEVEN-different-Rolexes-nine-episodes.html It’s not like the The ...

Re: CWL of the day

C60 for me. http://i36.tinypic.com/2nvgrba.jpg Unusual, very pretty. Jumping Hour for this morning. We had a great night at our friend's wedding last night, lots of red wine and I also raided the sweet cart :) https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181202/f259c4a7cf67a54299dc27f72909c0b2.jpg Stunning s...

Re: Orange strap recommendations

If you want it a bit more subtle (and you said you liked the Robby), in a colour ratio that will match the black/orange of the watch, then perhaps a Hirsch Andy in black and orange. I think it's the only one of Hirsch's performance straps available in an 18mm width. I'd normally recommend the Robby...

Re: Cw ladies watch

There is a general move to larger watches and I will be looking for a 'small' version of the mans watches for Christmas.

Re: Cw ladies watch

Was told the same, no plans for any more, was lucky to get a black Coral in the CW sale for my wife to go alongside her white one. She loves them.

Re: Watch Winders

Thanks for your suggestion, will follow this up using good unit to compare against, as you suggest. Ideally I still would like a circuit diagram to know the functionality and I want to know what else might be at fault.

Re: New Arrival .... but Undecided ...

Just in. Man, I wanted to love this watch. But it is just missing the boat for me. It is heavier than I thought it would be on the bracelet -- not insurmountable but certainly not as light as other bracelet'ed brands I have. I do like the combination of polished and brushed finish; the strap comple...

Re: Rolex Yacht-Master 116622

When you spend a lot of time on watch forums and too much time thinking about watches, you quickly learn what is popular - and what is not. Some watches are popular because they are damn good at what they do - and some are popular because they hold their value. Draw a venn diagram of those two grou...

Watch Winders

I have a set of 4 winders by DesignHutte. The model is Piccolo, supplied from various sources including the C ward online store. They ave worked no trouble for 5 years but recently only one working. Out of warranty and as they were costly I want to repair myself. Each faulty unit has a dodgy looking...
