Re: Coffee machines woes.

The one warning I had was that occasionally you can get a ‘blow back’ when depressing the pusher which can result in a very messy start to the day. I haven’t had an issue with blowback yet. However, I do use an inverted brewing method and have on a few occasions knocked the whole d*mn thing over! M...

Re: Coffee machines woes.

The one other that interests me is the AeroPress which is a hand-pressed single espresso gadget that I’ve generally heard good things about. I am an AeroPress devotee! I absolutely love it. In fact, it converted me to a coffee drinker. I buy fresh beans and grind each morning. With an AeroPress, th...

Re: Suggestions - deployant clasps?

I’ve got both the bader and the butterfly deployant from CW. On my smaller wrist, I actually like the butterfly a little bit better. It sits better on my wrist. With the bader, I actually have to reverse the strap on the watch head for it to sit properly on my wrist. The butterfly is definitely a bi...

Re: Are import duties still an issue?

I would also add that if the switch by CW from Royal Mail to DHL has led to a situation where duties and fees are now being collected aggressively (and excessively in the case of DHL fees maybe?), then we need to make our frustration with that known to CW. As in, we came out ahead under the old ways...

Re: Are import duties still an issue?

i see the receipt online, it says that import duties are 11% and then there's a $12 DHL fee Are you saying the receipt for your completed purchase indicates you have already been charged by CW an additional 11% in duty and the fee from DHL? If that’s the case, one would think you would have been in...

Would love to see a Christopher Ward take on a trench watch. Round or cushion case, sub-seconds, brush script number hour indicators, no date, etc.
What’s a trench watch?

(Off to google it now)

Re: My favorite strap?

How long have you been running that may I ask? I am interested in acquiring a couple. I was also wondering if CW's new hybrid is manufactured by Hirsch....if anybody knows or can compare the two and deduce? The rubber backing technology does look very similar and I do know that Hirsch supply a good...

My favorite strap?

It’s that time of year when I throw my black & brown Hirsch Arne strap on my C65 Vintage. The humid summers outside of DC can be brutal on a leather strap, so this one is perfect. The textured leather facing is elegant with some visual interest, and the rubber underside is indestructible. Add to tha...

Re: Stunning Images of the Mk 3 GMT

However I think he should have made more of the case finish and detailing. Interesting comment about now deciding to ditch his SKX, as effectively it’s now been replaced by the Trident. Exactly. I felt there wasn’t much to the review other that “I’m not a CW fan, but the watch is nice enough that I...

Stunning Images of the Mk 3 GMT

I just watched this review on YouTube, and while I don't particularly care for his review (his style, not his opinion), the images of the new GMT are wonderful! Mute the audio and just revel in the images. The blue color is absolutely stunning, if you ask me. One thing I did like about his review wa...

Re: C65 Vintage Discontinued?

Does "relaunch" = restock, or indicate a new design? Usually when something is discontinued it means a new design. If I had to guess I'd assume that they're not going to redesign it in any major way, because if they were they would likely be making a big deal out of it as they did with th...

Re: Rolex Prince Ref : 912, 1934

I imagine most of us are as excited to see this as you are! If I were to own a vintage watch, I’d want one exactly like this - one that very clearly has a story to tell. What’s the point of vintage otherwise?

Re: Trident Comparison - M3 vs C65 vs C60?

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone. To answer some specific questions... @jkbarnes yes, the size difference definitely looks significant, but I think this has a lot to do with the ratio of case size, dial diameter and bezel thickness. The bezel insert on my C65 measures just 2.3mm wide. Howe...
