Re: all watches sold - one big purchase ?

Ah well, you missed out a very important piece of the jigsaw there.

Definitely go with the grail and one of those cheap C60s to bang around

Re: Quartz - no need to hide...

I've always had quartz watches and always will. BUT, if I were to add another in future, it would either be a decent serviceable movement (usually vintage) or HAQ. Below are the few I currently own. The most expensive in my collection is quartz ... https://i.ibb.co/mbrWcLK/IMG-20190223-082038.jpg Go...

Re: Of your own watches. your favourite dial?

Lovely watches so far gents  I would have to say my GS (also quartz). The contrast between the faceted hands/markers and matte black dial is absolutely gorgeous. It's simple by design, but the details on the dial are razor sharp and flawless ... https://i.ibb.co/1ZC0S3p/IMG-20190624-091155.jpg

Re: C60 Bronze and Barton silicone

Not on a bronze, but I found the Barton Elite too thin for the chunky SS C60 case. Nice strap, but doesn't suit the Trident IMHO. Agree with H0rati0 here. It may be ok on the MK3 with it's thinner sculpted lugs, but they look lost on the MK2. The MK2 needs a strap that is chunky and/or padded at th...

Re: Bracelet swings at the lugs

Looking at the link you posted, that is for the C60 and C65 Classic model which is based on the C60 case. The latter is not to be confused with the current C65 divers. Re: What's the deal with ETA?

Yeh, it is a known issue that ETA was eventually going to stop supplying other manufacturers and just supply the Swatch group internally (of which ETA is part of). It's the reason why CW amongst other companies started using Sellita movements and tbh, I'm surprised that Stowa (and others) are still ...

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

I'm dreaming about selling my Omega and getting the Nomos. https://i.postimg.cc/x1Ry5LVv/RIMG0113.jpg I won't argue with your alternative choice of watch Anthony, but will add that the cost of joining the Omega club is only climbing, especially automatics. Be sure to have a good think about it, esp...

Re: Enjoyable harmless hobby or expensive addiction?

Funny enough I saw a really nice and small seiko diver in ernest jones saturday. blue face with a pepsi bezel but much smaller than my new 5 sports . hadn't seen one before. Definitely plenty of interesting stuff without spending tons. Ok Paul, please tell me more. Whilst loving the orange SK5 that...

Re: Winding the C65

My C65 Khaki also has a small amount of rollback as does my Nomos. My handwind Orient Star also had the same. I googled 'Glashutte stopwork' before I bought my Nomos and found an explanation somewhere that explained the reason for the rollback. If I can find it, I'll post it here. All sounds perfect...

Re: Non CW of the Day

Thanks Paul. There are 2-3 others in the series that I'd happily own as well.

Took a while to decide on which to go for, but I'd really fancied the SKX011 in the past. The addition of a sunburst orange over the SKXs matte dial tipped me over the edge.
