Re: Help! My springbars are stuck

Oh, and did I mention I've managed to compress the strap down to 19mm by trying to tap them out! The day job.... whatever it is... you know what I'm about to suggest don't you?  But, rubber not leather strap and they're in so tight that the rubber is compressing? I think my next st...

Re: Help! My springbars are stuck

If you post a photo it might make it a bit clearer the problem and we can suggest a solution. As bracelet pin removal tool might work but it would be easier if we can see exactly the issue. I can't get the strap back out tonight, I'll likely cry into my beer. Nah, I left it in my daughter's room an...

Re: Help! My springbars are stuck

Indeed the fat bars are stuck in my new strap. Although the material where the springbars goes through is rubber which makes it nice and snug  Moment of madness on my behalf. I should've got some narrower bars with the fat tips ... hindsight a wonderful thing. I think I'm gona forget about it u...

Help! My springbars are stuck

Seriously hacked off with myself. Took delivery of a Hirsch James performance strap this morning and rushed up stairs once home to grab my SKX and try it out. Off came the Seiko fat bars. A bit tight, but looked like they'd fit. 90% of the way in and decided it didn't want to go in any further. Darn...

Re: Which watch gets most attention

This ...

Gets commented on pretty frequently (steady with any responses :D ).
Usually strikes up a brief "conversation" about watches after which they generally walk off within 30s of me boring them to death

Congrats on your C60, excellent choice with the vintage. Looks good on the NATO as well.

But ... please do tell us more about the Shelby in the background

Re: Non CW of the Day

This has come back to me once more http://i.imgur.com/fgtK3U7.jpg I swapped to its one time replacement later in the day to compare the two http://i.imgur.com/gBBmbTf.jpg Same watch or same model? Same watch Neil. I came to realise that there is such a thing as having too many divers! Especially wh...

Re: Rolex curved strap for C60

I tried to fit a cousins rubber (Rolex fit) strap on my trident 38 and it was a no go im afraid, after a great deal of effort it just wouldnt fit Nevermind it was worth a shot Yeh, disappointing that. Thanks for the input though, won't bother with it now. Was it the springbar position from the case...

Re: Non CW of the Day

As for Greg's Planet Ocean, I would swap in a heartbeat. The PO does edge it for me as well. No denying though that Seikos case work is absolutely masterful (those Zurastu ninjas should be well chuffed with their output). Shame the PO isn't an 'off-the-shelf' colourway, would be a top-sel...

Re: Non CW of the Day

^^^ Thanks. I have not timed it in any super accurate scientific way, but every time I check it against my atomic g-shock it seems to be bang-on. As for Greg's Planet Ocean, I would swap in a heartbeat. They are super-duper accurate. Each time I check mine during DST adjustment, it is run...

Re: IWC Aquatimer 329005 - should I....

Just had a look at some "real" photos of both watches on Google and I have to say, as much as the Aquatimer is a lovely watch, the Bremont is far more interesting IMHO. I must admit, I've been quite ignorant in respect to Bremont watches posted on this forum and have always thought they were a bit s...
