Re: C60 600 Mk 2 Brushed Steel Bracelet

Sorry I ddin't spot this thread. Yes, they did indeed. The all-brushed bracelet fitted the C65 classic and C60 Mk2 so were prefect for the limited edition 316L LE models which have brushed cases.

Some people have had success by brushing PCL bracelets themselves to eliminate the polished centres.

Re: Bell and Ross BR05 Skeleton - Blue

I think the biggest difference to the C60 is that the movement is truely skeletal. Where the C60 'simply' replaces the dial with the blue sapphire showing the (IMHO) quite dull date wheel dial-side, the B&R shows through to more of the running works, including the balance wheel and escapement. I thi...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

OK, here's a bit of fun. My first bikes Some cool retro there Rich! Like the scooter and the Kawasaki 250 👍😁 Mine started with a beaten up FS1E shared with a mate then a DT125 (a bitsa deathtrap), after I came off 4 times in a short period I decided bikes and me weren't a great combination at the t...

Re: Have you ever......

All the time! Mostly because I’m built like a hairless orangutan so unless I’m wearing a formal shirt cut specially for said great apes my shirt sleeves are always too short. Rolling the sleeve a turn or two hides the fact that the sleeves are intended for ‘normal’ humans.

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

OK, here's a bit of fun. My first bikes. Like most spotty teenagers of the time, I couldn't wait to turn sixteen when we could ride mopeds on L-plates. I didn't have a bike but my Mum did, so this (or rather one like it) was my daily commute to work 20 miles a day. 30624448_1736296629726998_58868260...

Re: can a eta Elaboré be regulated to cosc ?

I think the point is that just about any movement sat statically on a bench can be regulated so that for the time it is being worked on, it appears to keep time to a precision of -4/+6 spd. The problem is that all watches are susceptible to positional variations, temperature fluctuations and power r...

Re: Incoming - Teaser

Thanks Ryan. You're right- a little digging suggests that the original Pulsar P2 displays were indeed a line of individual LED dots, just arranged linearly in a 7-segment layout. I found a couple of photos- pulsarcircuit2.jpg pulsardisplay200x.jpg Being LEDs, they needed to be powered each time the ...

Re: Incoming - Teaser

I'd not noticed the display before looking at your photos Nigel. The digits seem to be made up of dots rather than a 7-segment display. Is the display a true matrix or just a 7-segment made to look like a matrix? What were the vintage models?

Re: CW Rubber Strap v CW Hybrid Strap

To add a bit of balance regarding the hybrid strap, I recently bought a bronze C60 on the Nearly New sale fitted with a blue hybrid. Having heard about the thickness and lack of pliability I was ready to be underwhelmed with the strap. To my surprise it came with the newer version which seem to be b...

Re: Your 2893-2 / SW330 experiences

Similarly I've had (and sill have) a couple of C60 GMTs and the hand alignment has been perfect. Hand alignment, even with a 3-hander watch, can be off as is sometimes pointed out on this forum. Clearly that watch isn't supposed to be like that and can be sent back or remedied by a watchmaker. What ...

31 Day Power Reserve!!

Interesting video of another of the unobtanium. Fascinating hand-wound movement using a key into the caseback but the important bit is how they manage to keep an accurate beat over 31 days of power reserve.
