Re: Trident GMT running slower and slower

Are you sure the watch has been in a similar state of power throughout- ie either worn everyday for an auto or wound at the same point every day for a hand-wind? The rate can vary enormously depending on the power reserve.

Re: July Sale

I will say this much. For the time I was browsing the site was very fast and responsive! That's very very positive on previous sales. Just a shame there's no way to filter out of stock watches as others have said - I got all excited that I could pick one up only to find I couldn't... Absolutely- we...

Re: July Sale

C7 Blue Rapide.jpg I'm considering this watch. I have not seen this combination listed before. The page doesn't state the colour of the case ring; whether it is blue, black, or some other colour. I sent an e-mail to CWL, asking them this question. If the ring is blue then I'll be definitely pulling...

Re: New arrival today (white SMP)

There are some surprise and delight details on the Omega rubber strap. As Guy (I think) pointed out a Barton Elite would have been cheaper but do they make a 21mm version? Before anyone points it out, the cost of a separate strap really will make you grimace. I can't be bothered to reshoot this wit...

Re: Protecting Stainless Bracelets

<Tongue in Cheek> I respect the views that it changes the nature of the clasp and doesn't allow you to bang up the steel as the manufacturer would have intended. I see it a little differently. With only a handful of heroic instances, a scraped up watch is only a watch that has been scraped up. A sto...

Re: Protecting Stainless Bracelets

Very interesting post. It appears in the picture that you wrapped the straight edge just around the side of the clasp versus straying to complete cut outs for the pushers. Truly only 20 minutes from start to finish including cutting? Hi Lance. It's only on the upper face of the clasp- a single rect...

Re: C65 Dartmouth QC Question

Absolutely. I can see it, you can see it, and it shouldn't be like that. As others have said, if it bothers you and CW are willing to listen, seek some kind of resolution with CW.

Re: C65 AM GT Limited Edition

Yes, I'm surprised to see another quartz after everything that's been said at the GTGs. But then again, what a quartz! COSC HAQ and more jewels than the majority of the three-hander mechanicals! Well cool!

Re: Protecting Stainless Bracelets

That looks great. How long do you think it might last before you have to replace it? Good question! I don't know! When applied to cars it's reckoned to last for years. I think the weak point will be the edges of the film with constant 'scuffing' will start to lift the edges over time. Once there's ...

Protecting Stainless Bracelets

OK, here's a topic which divides opinion- protecting bracelets from damage. In particular the clasp which attracts the brunt of desk diving damage. There seem to be two camps- those who feel that after spending their hard-earned on a new watch want to maintain it as good looking as they can and don'...

Re: Ball Watch Company - Under Rated Brand?

I agree Steve. I wonder if it's purely circumstantial or whether there are other market forces at play. Ball are a company which seems to have a far more robust following Stateside which is understandable given their branding USP. There are other US brands which are more popular elsewhere- Monta, Sh...
