Re: Help: The Truth about Titanium

Thanks all for the info and the unanimous endorsement of titanium watches - looks like I had better start re-prioritising domestic spending in order to accommodate a new addition! Whilst my occupation does mean my watches can have a bit of a hard time I would draw the line at wearing something reall...

Help: The Truth about Titanium

Have been considering adding a titanium watch to my embryonic collection for a while and, with the C60 now imminent, maybe it is the time to make a decision. But, the one thing that deters me is the scratching / damage issue. I know that some people regard the scratches and marks of everyday wear as...

Re: Mesh-tastic trident!

[quote="7ee"] I see this alot with the C60 photos on thinner leather straps and nobody else seems to care so seems only me that has that issue. I used to struggle with straps on my old C60 and C600 as only thick straps would fill out those sharp corners. I could not agree more that the thin straps a...

Re: More Goodies in the 50% Off Clearance...

Thank you for the 'encouragement'! If I still lived in East Anglia - 7 years just outside Norwich - I would not have to exercise such will power, but since moving to the expensive South East ( sell large detached farmhouse near Norwich and buy semi-detached cottage near Whitstable for same money :sh...

More Goodies in the 50% Off Clearance...

A few additions to the clearance section - currently using all my will power to resist the Green/White GMT. Somebody else please buy it, there is no way I can justify a third Trident during austerity January while still in financial recovery mode from spending Xmas in Dubai :(

Re: Virgin Media contract expiring soon

Agree that it is definitely worth trying to get your existing supplier to drop their costs - did this twice with Sky: phone them and tell them you wish to cancel because you can no longer afford the monthly costs (not that your bill is too high - subtle but important distinction!). Not sure how Virg...

Re: Diamond Ring Required

Hi, have a look at a company called Cool Diamonds based in London. They are diamond brokers so you can select the size and grade of diamonds and the mounting / material. I bought my wife (to be) her solitaire engagement ring by post (!) and for £5000 got a ring that would cost over £7k on the high s...

Re: Fitting C60 Bracelet

Agreed - it should fit without a perceptible gap and with the supplied spring bars. I bought a blue / black on a black strap in the 1/2 price sale along with a C65 bracelet. Swapping over the strap ( which was fitted with curved bars ) for the bracelet was quick and easy using a fine spring bar remo...

Re: NN C20 Lido Issue - Keep or Return?

I agree - try to get the faults addressed and keep it. I bought one when they were half price earlier this year and think it is a lovely piece with it's unusual strap arrangement. Also, if I recall correctly, during the 'Chat with....' earlier this year it was stated that CW are commissioning some m...

Re: C700 Grande Rapide

I guess we will find out come the next sale if there are any remaining C700s to shift. CW seems to do some strange things re listings on their website: items that do not appear via the normal menus can be found by entering certain specific search criteria.

Re: C700 Grande Rapide

I had a C700 on my wish list and am sad to see it deleted before I could get to it. Maybe CW could think about giving a little bit of warning via the forum when a model is about to be dropped? It would probably trigger a few purchases for them.

Re: Your watch targets for 2015?

1. Another Speedmaster ( undecided which flavour )
2. Seamaster Planet Ocean

Looks like I am heading towards a two brand collection - not deliberate, just what takes my fancy next.
