Re: Some bargains at Jura
Certainly some nice watches there. Something for everyone. Thanks for the heads-up.

Re: C5 Malvern MkII
This is the last of my CW watches to go in the gallery (at least for a while). I really like the charcoal face and glad I chose it. The standard black croc type strap has today been replaced with a Hirsch Scandic in dark brown and to me it is a vast improvement in look and feel. http://i1340.photob...

Re: When will the next sale be?
Nice to have sales, especially for me who is looking for a couple more CWL's, but to be honest, even the full prices offer good value in my humble opinion, especially compared to so called premium brands. Couldn't agree more, granted I have limited experience but I'm more than pleased with my Tride...

Re: Decent quartz movements
My Certina DS Podium chrono has an ETA 261.262 movement which is both reliable, for the 7 hander, and accurate.

Re: When will the next sale be?
3 or 4 sales a year is fine. 3 or 4 sales in a month is bonkers

Re: Invicta
Wow. The thread Kip has highlighted there has some very damning comments.
Again, I can't find much to fault with mine at all. It's cheap, yes, financially, but it's actually far from it. Solid bracelet links, weighty, tough. Each to their own.

Re: Invicta
Orient's another possibility. Seiko 5s (autos) are within price range although for a diver you are looking towards the £100+ mark. There'sa blue one in sales corner, albeit bigger than 38mm. Lorus, Pulsar, Citizen may have diver types for the £80 upper limit.

Re: Decent quartz movements
The Omega 1680 was a great TC movement, but sadly discontinued. Yes, it's a great movement, I have one in a Constellation. You can also look for ETA 252.511 - it's basically the same movement as the 1680. On another note, the new Bulova Accutron II watches are pretty good. They have a 16 beat per s...

Re: Invicta
I have two Invicta divers. Can be bought for under £80 via eBay. Both are 40mm though and have Miyota automatic movements. Cheap and cheerful but far from rubbish. Keep accurate time, well made, solid feel. Alot of snobbery towards the brand, probably because much of their range is quite gawdy and b...

Re: Black or dark grey dial
The dial on my seiko sarb033 is so black and so glossy it sometimes looks like the indices are floating. The movement is a little bit tinny but the case work is amazing. 37mm but wears a little bit bigger I'd say. It's quite cheap but certainly doesn't feel it. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160...

Jeremy Kyle. A man who makes money out of others' misery and broadcasts it to the masses as 'entertainment'. Satan's spawn, as are those who enjoy watching this crap and ITV for cashing-in further.

Re: Servicing
Contrary to popular belief, I do not own every model that CWL has built. However, I can represent every men's model, in some variation, of each model sold in the first 10 years of production. As a collector, this is important to me. I have now completed that goal and will buy only what I like. Kip,...
