Re: New Style Christopher Ward Box/Packaging
New packaging is great. There's real sense of theatre opening the box and how the contents each take their turn in revealing the goods. I especially like the smaller touches like the strap to lift out the box from the packaging and the modular way it all fits together and everything has its proper p...

Re: anyone giving or receiving a watch this christmas?
For my other half, I've bought a CW Trident 38mm for our anniversary which is in December. She doesn't have a dive watch in her collection so hopefully it'll be a lovely a surprise as she mentioned a few months ago that she didn't have anything with a black dial. Looking forward to handing this over...

Re: Does the forum make you buy CW?
Short answer, yes, the forum can influence me to buy watches, not always CW though. Long answer, it's a convenient place to find out about watches that I wouldn't otherwise consider or know about, and get another perspective without the marketing spiel. So it's not a direct influence as such, more o...

Re: Import duty question
Anything that expensive would go courier only and fully insured. Cost about £70 the last time I did this using one of the big couriers (Fed Ex or DHL).

What colour is the bezel on the SRPB37? It looks black in your pics but the library images look blue so I guess it changes colour in the light.

Fantastic pictures and a great selection of Seiko's. Is that a blue sunburst dial on the Seiko SRPB37J1? Bezel looks cool too, nice glossy finish.

Re: Creation Watches - no import fee's
Thanks for taking the time to put this together into a separate thread, it's most useful
I don't get the £6-£9 delivery fee from the Roal Mail, is this for "handling" a package or something else?

Re: Decision, decisions, decisions.....
DISJT , are you saying that Creation sends Seiko watches unboxed if you choose Royal Mail delivery? I can't see this mentioned anywhere and on their shipping page at http://www.creationwatches.com/products/shipping.html it says watches are sent in their watch box and then further enclosed in a non-...

Re: Decision, decisions, decisions.....
Thanks for the info, I'll drop Creation a quick message to ask if this is the case before ordering next time. Looks like Royal Mail delivery might be the best way to go.

Do you remember the name of the watch company trading on Amazon? Would be good to see what they offer there.

Re: Decision, decisions, decisions.....
Cool, look forward to seeing the pics. A lot of people buy from Creation Watches and don't pay anything, seems like only a tiny minority have to fork out the VAT and duty. I think they (Creation Watches) know how to work the system, either by declaring as low value (but still insuring for the full a...

Re: Decision, decisions, decisions.....
I trust you went the royal mail route with your order? No I didn't actually, I was expecting to pay vat and handling either way. Then I saw your recent post in another thread :( . Mind you, I have been stung for vat and handling with Royal mail deliveries several times in the past. So charges were ...

Re: Tag Heur Aquaracer vs C60
Which Aquaracer are you looking at? The older ones with the ceramic bezel are very nice (but pricey).
