Cool, thanks - I thought out of stock means no longer available.
Back to the dilemma of whether to get this or the Bluebird :S
Need to shift some of my collection first though so I don't break my own one-out-one-in rule.

Re: Real spy's wear breitling
Bond switched from a Rolex to an Omega and would never wear anything hideous like that. It looks like it was not pushed, but shoved out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

Re: Buying a C7 Bluebird - eventually!
Is the bezel on the Bluebird ceramic? I've had coloured bezel's before and they eventually fade and show up scratches very easily, even faint ones, unless it's ceramic.

Really? CW straps are easily changeable using any standard tools to release the pins?MiniMpi wrote:You could always put a bracelet from a C7 on it

Re: Moonphase Suggestions?
Here's a question, is there any point getting a moonphase auto unless you have a watch winder? Depending upon the complication, once the watch stops, you'd have to look up the particular moon phase for the date and then set it to that.

Re: To replace or not to replace the crystal
Will definitely be a keeper, that's why I'm thinking about the crystal replacement. It's a Superocean with a yellow dial that was only made for about 3 years in the early noughties. There's not many yellow dial watches about let alone nice ones so can't see myself ever selling this to be honest.

Why chronometer with a Quartz?
Just looking at the gorgeous new C7 IRR COSC and wondering why bother with a chronometer if it has a quartz movement? I thought quartz are supposed to pretty much accurate to a few seconds so what added advanatge would the COSC certification provide other than tolerances of temperature?

I was thinking about pulling the trigger on a C7 Bluebird and now this turns up
Don't really entertain watches without a bracelet but this red C7 with a tan strap is seriously making me reconsider.

Re: To replace or not to replace the crystal
Thanks for the replies, no OCD on my part and the watch will be worn regularly. I did notice the faint scratches on the crystal before but it never bothered me and the AR coating is still good for me too. I'm wondering if the refurb done during the service involves polishing the crystal which might ...

just saw this referenced on /r/watches. http://blog.perpetuelle.com/watches/montblanc-meisterstuck-heritage-moonphase/ Last but by no means least in the 2014 Montblanc collection is the Meisterstück Heritage Moonphase. Offered in 39mm rose gold or steel case, it shares the aesthetic codes of the Me...

To replace or not to replace the crystal
Got my Breitling in for service at the moment and have been quoted £170 just for the replacement of the crystal which apparently is scratched and the AR coating has rubbed off. This never bothered me before and the scratches are very minor but now I'm thinking whether or not to replace it. Breitling...
