Re: Trident C60 where would it stand?
I've not got / had all the watches in the list but my take is that leaving aside money and considering design, finish, fit, materials, movement, comfort, style, etc. I'd put CW at or near the top of the list with Omega, Longines, Tag, Certina and Tissot (not seen the others). I really like the thoug...

Re: January Sale 2019
Managed to nab copies of all the sale pages if anyone is interested in seeing what was available. Can't upload individual PDF's here so have added to a zip file and attached. Mod's please feel free to share these in a more forum friendly format as preferred. Even as I got the screen grabs, watches w...

Re: Jaguar to sue Christopher Ward
Jaguar should spend more time working on making their cars reliable instead of chasing lawsuits to line the pockets of spiv lawyers.

Re: The cheek of some people
I've seen people bid / buy these vouchers. For someone who can't be bothered to search online, or missed the code on the voucher, spending a quid to save a ton would be worthwhile.

Re: How many hours a day...
Depends on the movement but most will usually be fully charged within a few hours. Some like the Valjoux 7750 movement only winds one way so take much longer to fully charge up. If I wear my C40 all day and then take it off at night, it's often stopped by the morning if I don't wind it up beforehand.

Re: Watch Cases
Has anybody any views on Mele & Co. cases? I'm looking for a reasonable quality case, without a glass lid, and these look very good value. However, value often comes at the cost of quality. The Mele & Co. cases are hit and miss. A common issue with them is that the cushions are too small so they do...

Re: To sell or not to sell
If you don't wear it, sell it. If you wear it, and enjoy wearing it, then it's a keeper. If you have any doubt as to keeping, then it sounds like you should sell. There's no shame in being a watch tart, there's always another watch waiting to take it's place.

Re: What's the point of the handwound SH21?
I get the thinner bit but not the feeling of powering the watch yourself. You can do that with an automatic too and top it up as needed. As for the 300 turns, that's what's been mentioned here and mine needed about 270 turns for a full charge. When I asked CW, they said about 200 turns would do but ...

Re: What's the point of the handwound SH21?
p.s. Don't call me Shirley. Looks like I picked the wrong week to post a question Two of my better watches are hand wound with 8 and 4 day powers reserves, as are a couple of Speedmasters. Don't have a problem with winding as required, with the 8 day taking only about 70 winds for full reserv...

What's the point of the handwound SH21?
Other than looks and size, I'm wondering what's the point of a handwound SH21? As a previous owner of an SH21 automatic, I bought it because of the 5 day power reserve so it wouldn't need to be wound often (otherwise why spend more for the same power reserve?). It's perfect as a weekday watch, somet...

Bin lurking on this thread since the first link was posted and managed to see all the pages with no probs. Although it was a little slow, everything loaded after a few mins whilst other inmates were saying it was down. However, I'm accessing the site from abroad and am wondering if CW have deliberat...

Re: I feel like I’m cheating
The solution is simple; proudly wear the C65 Vintage where the wife can see it and wear the Ragamuffin Urchin on the other wrist, well hidden under a grubby sleeve for those illicit moments when she's not looking  Also, I'm wondering which watch you would take when away on a weekend "busine...

Re: New Style Christopher Ward Box/Packaging
But I am in the minority as I don't like the new packaging... wish they still offered the nice cream-inside smaller boxes. A problem I had with the older cream packaging in that after a few years, and depending on where it was kept (mine was in wardrobe cupboard), it just fell apart. One of the cas...
