Re: the pet hate department....
Like Guy and Asqwerth I don't have specific pet hate on watches.
I do, however, tend to like what others might hate quite often, there is a word for it, "bad taste" I guess?

I also find the C65 vintage very appealing. The choice of hands is spot on.

Re: CWL of the day
Thanks! I like quartz chrono as they are usually slimmer than the mechanical counterparts. Not to mention the vast difference in pricing.

Re: The Longines Heritage 1945
Not too long ago, all the new releases were about monstrous sized mutli-cased made with outer space metal alloy. Now, it's all retro. Personally I adore vintage classics so I am not complaining but the lack of inspiration is worrying indeed.

The Longines Heritage 1945
If they've kept it at 37mm like the original (instead of 40mm) and lose the automatic on the dial, it would be even more appealing to me. https://hodinkee.imgix.net/uploads/images/1490462023736-q7f43hbo5oh-d60db6687118c98e1f0f5871f4c39264/B89A9043_copy.jpg?ixlib=rails-1.1.0&auto=format&ch=Wi...

Re: Seiko Turtle SRBP11 & Samurai SRPB09 Blue Lagoon LE's
I was able to try a sister model on yesterday at my local Seiko Factory Store, the SRP777, and was shocked at how much smaller it wore than I had expected. The weight, my other concern, was not a problem either - no worse than my SKX. So I just ordered a Turtle Blue Lagoon at the amazing price of $...
