Re: Transit time - UK to USA?

I received my C5A to Western Canada in 9 days. Since Canada Customs is slower than anything this side of a Yugo, I would expect delivery to the US to be at least as fast!

Re: NN watches

Argh! I don't check the forum for a day, and I miss a NN sale. Congrats to Andy on grabbing the C40. Guess my money will stay in my pocket for a little longer.

Re: New C5 Aviator MKII

I'm really liking that Gaucho strap. I'm pretty sure my first strap purchase will be a Gaucho, or a custom strap from 'RidinFool' (WUS). I usually end up punching holes in stock straps, so I'm leaning towards a RidinFool strap. Is that an 18mm CW deployant on your Gaucho?

Re: New C5 Aviator MKII

Nice watch. I'm loving my cream MkI. I will second your comments regarding the 18mm strap. It IS quite long, requiring holes to be added to the strap for my small wrist. The narrow strap, however, works well this watch. I think it works because of the thin lugs. I do think it would look better with ...

Re: C5 Aviator MkI

Try sending an email to Wera. When I inquired about the possibility of some showing up in NN, I was told that there were a couple of new Mk1's in the office. I'm wearing mine right now. You might be surprised.

Re: Model numbers

I think a model number would be great. Not only to identify these watches in the future, but also because not everyone is a WIS, and remembering the model number of your watch when someone asks isn't always easy! Unique serial number would also be good for dating watches in the future.

Re: Seeking horo-partner. Must be sleek and dark.

I own a C5 Aviator, and find it a perfect size for a small wrist. With the smaller case size it does not seem as thick as it is. It wears comfortably under shirt cuffs and jackets. The strap is a little long for small wrists, but that is easily rectified with a leather punch (or a Nato strap). The w...

Re: Wrist size question! / C8 Pilot

I think you will be able to wear the C8, as long as you are comfortable with larger watches. It will probably be quite large on your wrist, but not outrageous, especially considering the current trend to large watches. However, plan on replacing the strap with a shorter one, or punching extra holes ...
