Re: Feeling despearately sad

Guy, I am terribly sorry for your loss. Not much on religion, but you and yours are in my thoughts, and what prayers I do say.

Re: New aquisition.......

I like the look, but just can't see the price being worth it, bluetooth or no.

Re: Tudor new releases

As a former Rolex GMT owner who regrets selling his, the Tudor GMT definitely looks good. The individually adjusting 24 hour hand trumps the snowflake hands, and so I've started saving, today!

Re: Anyone wear watch on wrong wrist

As a right-handed, right-footed, left-eyed person, I wear mine on my left ankle, to leave both hands free to take photos of it. Obviously, I can't see it to tell the time, but that's not the point. This is why I prefer smaller watches, so they slip under a sock more easily. Awesome response! I swit...

Re: Something Is Wrong In The State Of Denmark

Anyone know what proportion of members actually post? My feeling is that it is relatively small. But data trump's feelings everytime. Also curious to know why people don't post. Just shy or some other reason? Speaking for myself, I don't post or reply to a post unless I have something to say. I vis...

Re: Retro-ish, Diver-ish Hipster-ish?

It saddens me every time I walk past a certain emporium of the tonsorial arts in Norwich and see the hipsterly rakes lined up for their Saturday hair dos and beard dos. To think, this iniquitous den of beardly topiary...this garden-centre of barbiculture...used to be a perfectly lovely antique cloc...

Re: Simple question

Got home around 1900 EST, and was surprised to see all the hub-bub. Clicked on the hot key in the email, and while the site was slow, I had no real difficulty looking at the various items listed. Several items appealed to me, but not so much that I wanted anything at the prices listed. Tempted by th...

Re: Recommended Field or Diver watch

I've been looking at these for weeks now, along with the PADI Turtle version. Having a terrible time making up my mind, and can't get both, dammit. Your photos are swinging towards the Samurai, but Island watch has got a fresh shipment of the SRPB49J1 Blue Samurai...at a great price...my head hurts....

Re: the nine best back-to-basics watches of 2017....

The Tudor and the IWC were my favorites. The GS looked really nice, but not for me, I've already got a Air King vintage as my dress watch. Thanks for posting, missF!

Re: FLE #7 Discussion Area

+1 from me, also. happy with everything except the strap length, and that's on its way to being sorted out. hard to read sometimes, but so are other watches I have, so not a big deal. tried it on a brown bader strap from the sale, still think the camel is better. thinking about the blue one, but non...

Re: FLE #7 Discussion Area

#41/50 will be staying with me, as well. I like the way it looks. Reading the hands under artificial lighting may be hard at times, but the same applies to several other watches I have. Must get a smaller strap, though. With the tang in the next to last hole, my fore finger can still fit easily betw...

Re: FLE #7 Discussion Area

I doubt that there would have been two different color hands fitted to the sub-dials; however, what I think everyone who has mentioned this is actually seeing the effect of changing light affecting the perceived color of the sub-dial hands depending on the angle at which the watch is viewed. The han...
